Maybe it’s not the smartest thing ever to be giving his name out to random people at two o’clock in the morning. As empty of common sense as he can be, he does keep his name to himself when he goes out like this, and avoids neighborhoods anywhere near Madison Avenue or areas where he knows his coworkers live. But he’s lonely, and the willowy stranger across from him is lonely, and he’d scared himself so badly earlier that he’d left his apartment building at a run. He’s not sure what the point of that was. The building’s not the problem.
Hearing someone else’s voice helps him not think about it so much.
