Well, maybe the flirting isn't quite connecting because of the language barrier. Stan will consider it a handicap. She introduces herself—first name only—like it'll mean something to him, which is odd. Is she in the industry? Is she someone's wife? She doesn't look like someone's wife. He's still smiling, but his eyebrows show his confusion.
He's even more confused when he hears a familiar voice come from behind her saying, “Lee, hey!”
It's Ginsberg. He sounds pleased as punch. What the hell.

Lee was the last person Michael expected to see while walking back across the office, but here she is. Seeing her completely wrecks all his work-related trains of thought—which is probably a bad thing since he just talked to Peggy about various Important Things he should Remember, and he hasn't even gotten to repeat them back to Stan yet so that Stan can nag him about them later—but Lee-related trains of thought are more fun. Lee and the agency seem like such complete opposites that it's strange to see her surrounded by desks and clacking typewriters and secretaries, but he's so glad she's here, out of nowhere. It strikes him that she is with him, really with him, and thinking about him often. It's a precious concept.
He smiles unchecked as he steps close to her, touches the chilly skin of her arm. “You came by,” he says, going into his office with her.
