WHO: Nina Pickering & Jemma Fitzsimmons
WHAT: Tea and talks!
WHERE: Coffee O’Clock
WHEN: 27/1
For the most part, Nina’s trust wasn't that easily or immediately won, true George’s, and in ways Annie’s influence had softened her, in some aspects - but, by and large Nina had arrived in this world with suspicion, and a distinct reluctance to simply accept her situation, and those around her. Jemma had managed to turn that around almost at once. Nina’s hairy situation wasn’t something she could simply put off, or forget about or just decide to think about at some other point. She'd planned to do some laps through the town, even though she’d considered barricading herself in her apartment, after the first time she checked it out, the very idea that she could possibly break out in a multi-level building filled with people, and eat them was an astronomical danger. Wasn’t quite the way she intended to break the ice here.
Jemma had, as promised helped her to organise somewhere secluded and safe - and though there was some talk of supervision at a distance, there being no shortage of people around who might be able to do so safely, thanks to various skills and abilities; Nina had insisted on being left alone. It was strange, and oddly lonely (not that she’d admit it) to go through a transformation without George- Annie had been there for her first, so she’d never really done this without the support of those who’d been supernaturals far longer than she had. But, if nothing else her relief was complete when she awoke completely secure and, once she was able to return to the medical centre, confirm the baby had survived another transformation.
Keen to keep in touch with Jemma on several counts, one, her kindness- or at least her quickness to act had saved Nina a lot of concern, and rather a dangerous problem for Equilibrium; the Nurse wanted to show her gratitude. And two they were both quite pregnant, which was worth a bit of solidarity, and support, right? It was just one of those things. So they’d arranged a day to meet at Coffee O’Clock, specifically to drink nothing of the sort. They’d be there for tea. Seated at one of the tables, having only just arrived and a little early at that, Nina kept an eye out for Jemma, peering at those around her idly.
