"Arioch!" The word sputtered out of his mouth like a choke. Eric had liked seeing everyone, but the years from what he remembered and the present, the way he was groped, the smells that infiltrated his nasal cavities - it was simply too much for him to handle.
Limbs tightened around his brother, seeking solace and calm between those limbs. "Thank you. Thank you thank you I'm so sorry so so sorry Arioch." Eric felt like the little cub again, seeing refuge in his brother's arms. The sob choked his throat as the sounds died away.
"Ari. Ari I was so sad!" The last word was just a choke, nails digging into his brother's shoulders and back. There weren't many faces left that Eric knew, and his body hurt with the loss that he hadn't known. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," Eric bleated, wanting to be both supportive and considerate at the same time. "Ari, I'm sorry." Eric's eyes were weeping wells, and the outside was such a blur that he was worried his brother was leading him away to be done with him.
