Lucian listened quietly to Akihiko’s explanation for the making of the two vampires that stood before him. Both were attractive but so far from what he had expected of Akihiko’s childer. The clean-cut, well-mannered vampires were a shock that the Primus kept to himself. He had expected a different stock from his Asian scion but was unsure as of yet if he was disappointed in the choices made.
He nodded to the submissive greetings and stepped forward, first to Sano who looked him in the eye. A tattooed hand lifted to grasp the younger vampire’s chin, holding his gaze as he searched for what was within. The young vampire had pride, it was obvious, but did not seem to hold undue arrogance.
“Do you hold employment in this city?” Lucian questioned before following up with a verbal slap to Akihiko, “or are you as shiftless as your sire?”
Lucian stepped then to Percelle, examining her in the same manner, his grip not as tight in her jaw. She appeared fragile and innocent, much like his human servant Jillian. The Primus was not at all sure how he felt about this young one. Would one so angelic become strong enough to survive in this new world? He ended up patting Percelle on the head, a response which felt completely alien to the ancient vampire and brought a dark scowl to his features.
Turning his back on the young vampiress who had induced such a strange reaction, that same stormy expression was presented to Akihiko. “We have business to attend to. “ With that said, Lucian strode to his desk and took a seat, templing his fingers.
Lucian found favor in his Asian Scion but that did not mean the Primus would coddle his childer, although it appeared that Akihiko had created both his own offspring for that exact purpose. They both appeared to be as spoiled as some prized pup. It was not something that sat well with the ancient vampire.
“Your childer must prove their worth…as do you.” The fathomless stare of the Primus cut through his strong child for a moment before continuing. “You will begin as trainer for the gladiators tomorrow. I have already drafted a letter to Gabriel alerting him of his new employee.” Lucian couldn’t help the slight smirk that crossed his lips as his words took meaning for Akihiko. The action was not randomly performed by the Primus for he knew the hatred that existed between the two brothers.
