In his short time knowing the siblings, Donovan had noted that neither talked about the other all that much. But he assumed it was mostly due to them not openly sharing a lot of personal details, and he hardly knew either well enough to expect otherwise. Hearing even a small snippet about their childhood was minor compared to all that he revealed to Kyu-Sik, but it was more than he knew previously. It gave him a way to slowly coax out more. "Maybe I would have preferred that. Only having each other, you must be very close," Donovan smiled lightly, not finding any use envying Kyu-Sik's childhood or his good relationship with his family. "You and Mi-Ho are very lucky."
In the years that it was just him and his older brother, the boys had found very little in common. Maybe the extra siblings were a good buffer between them. Not that it made much of a difference in the end, his brother the one to report his indiscretions to their father. He wondered if Mi-Ho and Kyu-Sik's closeness allowed for protecting each other's secrets, how much they shared just between the two of them. Nothing had ever remained secret long in his household, leaving him with nobody to confide in.
"Busy, but it was strictly scheduled so never too hectic. Everyone had their own sets of chores to be responsible for," he explained, didn't think that part of his upbringing was too unusual. "I guess cooking is just one of the few things I can do well, and Altan appreciates it." And he was an incredibly picky eater, liked to have control over what he consumed. Not that he wanted to admit such.
