Having not been in a family home for quite some time, a hollow place in Donovan's stomach clenched as he blocked out memories. It was clean, but evidence of the people living there kept it from being too sterile. Family portraits on the wall, books on the shelves, and Donovan left his shoes by the door with the others. His scuffed up sneakers with mismatching laces looked out of place, and Donovan had only the tiniest twinge of regret that both of his ugly argyle socks were currently sporting holes in the big toe.
Distracted glancing around as he unhurriedly followed to the kitchen, he nearly ran into the wall while trying to properly understand the bright green couch, knowing right away that it was nothing that his roommate would ever allow into their impeccably decorated apartment. Donovan found it charming, took it to mean that Mi-Ho's parents couldn't be nearly as uptight. Kyu-Sik, on the other hand, he wasn't too sure about yet.
"Black is fine." Taking a seat in the kitchen, assuming he was welcome to do so instead of expected to hover around, Donovan immediately corrected his putting of elbows on the table and instead folded his hands in his lap. "So do you ask everyone in for coffee?" he inquired innocently enough, glancing out the kitchen window.
