Defiant as ever, he refused to give the smile that he almost wanted to at that moment. He blankly stared at her, giving an irritated sigh instead. He reached over to her again, but this time to give her a quick push to try and shove her out of her chair. She was sitting so close that she had that coming anyway.
"I can try." Not that he'd know how. How do you really shake off the kind of girl that gets a kick out of her own fingers being cut off? Though he did manage to make her cry only a bit before their current conversation. There had to be other ways to make her give up. Not that he wanted her to, but there still had to be some way. "I could just find some woods one day and tie you to a tree or something." Well, okay, that might not make her stop loving him. But that would get rid of her in a more suitable manner.
"Can't think about loving someone if you're being gnawed on by hungry animals."
