When he finally managed to tear open his own food package and place it more properly in the microwave, he was that much more thankful when he heard the microwave beeping along as he pressed the buttons. It actually worked. Even with most of the world fallen to shambles, it was an undeniable relief to still have patches of electricity. Now he'd just have to wait a few minutes until he could finally eat.
And he had a distraction while he waited, thankfully. Well, sort of thankfully. There was only a short moment of him calmly listening to her before he had to turn his head again. Just watching her was enough to make him frustrated as well. "Give it here!" Sighing, Mitch tore the case from her hand before she could struggle any more. Grabbing a piece of broken glass from the television he had carelessly knocked off the shelf, he cut the plastic wrapping away easily. Though accomplished, he did seem entirely unamused. It wasn't her slobber from her attempt to bite it open, but the title of the movie. Twilight.
"This? Seriously? Are you a lonely Mormon?" Given the fact that she hated kids, he doubted it. He was just not drunk enough to watch that particular movie. Not that he was necessarily planning on staying, but still.
