It had been awhile since they had mutually exchanged presents, though it never bothered her to always be on the giving end even when either tossed into the lake or drenched in blood her gifts to him never seemed to survive long. While she wasn't exceptionally materialistic nor feeling entitled toward receiving anything at all, and wouldn't have complained if Mitch had admitted to skipping out on gifts when it seemed the only family member that even bothered to send her anything this year was her grandfather, she was however curious what he had picked out with her in mind. But she wasn't too nosy and was patient enough to wait the remainder of the week to find out.
She liked surprises well enough, and while she knew better than to expect anything too fancy or frivolous coming from Mitch, she knew he had good taste compared to her sometimes questionable own. At least he hadn't asked her what she wanted because she never seemed to know. And hopefully she wasn't mistaken in thinking he'd appreciate the ukulele she had managed to special order through Hogsmeade, normally unwilling to go so far out of her way to track something down.
"Oh. How do you know my favourite?" she asked unchallengingly, not ever recalling having any such conversation with him nor anybody else. But he could be oddly observational at times, so it didn't seem too out of place. "But of all the stupid things I've done, that's not one."
