The idea of her wearing his trousers would've make him laugh if he wasn't so focused. Sure, he could lend her a pair, but they were likely to swallow her whole. He may not have been big really, but he was much taller. Though he probably should ask her if she had any spare clothes at all later. "Oh, don't be stupid," he started, finally making his way through one large knot, "nothing I have would ever fit you." And it was on the next section. The whole project was definitely going to take longer than he had first thought, but he was as determined as always.
"My mother originally got her job in a factory not because of experience, but because she was a woman. They don't have to pay women and children as much, so they prefer to hire them." Not that he could see her working in any sort of factory and not that many were even necessarily hiring any more. That had been a long time ago. It wasn't exactly promising that she wouldn't get paid much either, so the thought was easily not the best. However, he always had a point to make. Were he a woman he probably would've ended up in the same sort of position. It would've meant steady work, but he couldn't imagine a world in which he would've never learned anything about string instruments. That was luck alone thanks to his gender and sometimes it seemed like the only thing keeping him sane.
There were certainly other things she could do with just being a woman, but that would require her to sell out a little more of her pride than even he would approve of. The subject would not be brought up.
