Michel pondered for a moment if there was anything he had for her to do. It would've been nice to have an extra hand around his home. Though not very large or special, he still liked to keep it clean and well-decorated to the best of his financial ability. Which was considerably minimalist as opposed to the rich decor that he knew was in style elsewhere, but at least it was spotless. It was hard work with all of the other work he had gotten himself in to. However, there wasn't really much he felt comfortable with letting her touch yet. "You should not touch anything and avoid making messes," he answered plainly. With her background he still doubted that she even knew the first thing about properly cleaning a home.
Cooking, on the other hand, he had seen her do. Even if she might have new to it. He considered it for a moment more before tossing that idea out as well. With an extra mouth to feed in the room, he just couldn't afford to be wasteful. If she were to mess something up or use too much of something, it wouldn't be helpful at all. Trying to remember what he had left in his meagerly stocked cabinets, he poured more hot water into his cup. Any bit of money saving he might have thought possible was instantly out of the question.
He hardly paid attention to her when she finally went to go clean herself off. Had the question she asked him not bothered him, he probably would have just ignored her completely. It became suddenly obvious to him how uncomfortable he still was with the idea of her holding anything sharp in her hands. So far it hadn't led to anything good for either of them. He frowned questioningly. "Scissors for what?"
