It was a relief when she pulled the towel away from his face. He let her tilt his head as she needed, trying to judge how it looked by the reaction in her face. After their time together he should've known better than to think that even if she had a reaction it probably wouldn't have been a normal one anyway. He sighed lightly, still not willing to get up and find a mirror to look himself. He was caught up in that thought until her lips were against his brow. For just a moment his mind had wandered to the kisses they had shared, but that just immediately led back to her cutting out his eye completely off guard.
"No," he refused, putting his hands on her shoulders just long enough to push her back a little bit. He had to stay on guard this time. "Don't you dare start with that again. Just do what you need to do and-" And what? For whatever reason he didn't want to tell her to just leave again, but that would've been for the best. There was no reason he should've appreciated her bringing food and medical supplies over to tend to his eye socket. After all, had it not been for her affection he'd probably still have two eyes. "And I don't care what you do afterwards, just stop it."
And that was what he had settled on. He was trying to be patient with her, knowing that perhaps she really was just trying to give him the help that he needed at the moment. However, the trust wasn't there and he could only stretch so far. He was only going to humor her for so long. Michel felt the need to make that clear while he really had her attention. "I can't afford to lose anything else."
