Michel was worried about a completely different implication than she was. Normally he would've just grabbed his things and went home. However, he wouldn't have her sleeping there in the Louvre. Not because it was the Louvre, but because her not returning home after a painting lesson with him could've meant something else completely. He let out a heavy sigh, bending down to put everything away.
"It's mostly on the way," he grudgingly confirmed, "but I'm not carrying everything either." He was much bigger than her. That much had been obvious since they first met. Helping her carry her things would not be that much of a burden to him. However, that didn't mean he was going to do it all for her. She would have to do her fair share, too.
Everything packed, he picked up his things and some of hers, leaving only a bag for her to carry. She could do that much. "And this is just because you're letting me borrow the sketchbook."
