"Practice couldn't hurt." He wanted to roll his eyes and say that he didn't see what drawing had to do with painting, but he supposed they actually did follow a lot of the same basic principals. Or at least that's what he could've assumed.
Seeing it as the end of their session, he sat everything down and pulled out his watch. It was fairly ancient. Something passed down from a grandfather he had never met. He didn't keep it for the sentimentality so much as he never really wanted to spend the money on a newer one. As old as it was, it was at least still reliable. Somehow. However, he had to wonder about it when he saw what time it was. It wasn't too late, but time had flown by. "A bit after nine-thirty," he answered, stuffing the watch back into his pocket.
"I'll clean up and head home if we're done here. You ought to be doing the same. It's only going to get colder." Not that he really cared if she froze somewhere. Though he would be out of a slightly more than useless painting instructor. "Where's the sketchbook?"
