"I never agreed to teach at all, and I definitely never said I'd do it for free," Mabelle made quite clear that she wasn't about to give in. Honestly, she hadn't even considered payment when the idea was first presented, and she didn't even know what an appropriate fee would be. But there really wasn't much she would take in exchange for having to spend more time with Michel than she had to, not when his grip on her arm was already reminding her too much of that time. It wasn't the threat of things going that way again that worried Mabelle, but the fact she wanted it to, already blushing at the thought.
Weakly yanking at her arm, no way strong enough to break Michel's grip even if she had the energy to try, Mabelle frowned at the realization there really wasn't an easy way out of this. "There's nothing you even have that I'd want," she insisted, but wasn't entirely convinced of it.
