In reaction to the pain of her scratch, Michel simply tugged on his edge of his sleeve inconspicuously, as if just straightening it. He wasn't willing to let himself show anything more than that and it certainly wasn't that bad. However, it was her reaction that made him wondered if he should be concerned about this. While she was playing along, should he take her apparent desire to maul him as a joke or something more honest? She had the reason to mean it after what he had done. Time would tell. And at that point, somewhere inside him, he was almost curious to find out even if it seemed like a bad idea.
"How unfortunate," he noted, doing everything he could not to glare at her. Were he able to shoot bullets from his eyes, he certainly would have. However, he continued to keep his cool. He wasn't going to let her get to him that easily, though she certainly had quite a talent for it. "I don't see how a bread baking accident like that could happen and not have it at least be a bit exciting."
But right. Painting. Before he allowed himself to get any more swept up in their reintroduction, he looked back to Dorian. "If you really think this is a good idea then." Michel assumed that the man really did know nothing of their previous encounters. Otherwise he would've certainly doubted his judgement more clearly. However, as it stood, there wasn't really any reason to protest other than he simply changed his mind. Just not showing up after saying he would be there was always a good option.
"I've been busy, but I should be free most evenings."
