I saw a job while I was out today for a personal trainer. I don't know if you'd be interested but they mentioned covering certification processes so it doesn't seem like you'd need much more than what you've already got to start.

I was going to maybe go there even if you don't take the job if you wanted to join me sometime.

So, what you're saying is, we're totally banning the curly fries and the M&Ms so he doesn't have a heart-attack? Not a lot we can do about him pissing people off, though.

Work part-time at a bookstore, or something else that excites you, while you keep up with the prizes and medal-achieving? When you put it like that I'm almost glad we got brought to Goodland. 	I've got skills you can't even imagine. I've been walking around looking for jobs that won't take up too much of my brainpower. Something about going to school still feels weird. I get it. Like, you'll never go back to Beacon Hills if you accept things here? There's a lot to be said for making the best of it. I mean, I know if I stopped my studies now I'm not sure I'd be able to pick up where I left off. Know what I mean?

I didn't mean it like that, Lydia. All I meant was that we both respect you way to much to get into salacious details. He loves you, he's not going to betray that for shits and giggles. If he had a general problem, sure, we'd talk, but your secrets are safe.

I think that you just have to do what makes you happy right now and make enough money for food and living. The rest is all a mystery. Honestly, I doubt we'd remember life here when we got back, else wouldn't we have heard of Goodland already?

Just keep pushing me towards the good and I'll push back a little. Cause otherwise where's the fun?

I wonder what it would do if we didn't. We were brought here against our will, it has to have been for a reason, right? Or is it going to let us be homeless? Starve? Or are the jobs there to distract us just enough...

My other working theory is that we're here as a by-product of something else entirely and we aren't meant to have been. In which case it might not matter if we are homeless or die other than offending the morals of the entity. If it has morals.

It may be stating the obvious here, but I think you're overthinking this.

For all we know this Entity is just some lost alien-being that wanted to be a god, so made it's own universe. Unless it actually gives us answers we're never going to know the real motivations behind any of this. So maybe it's better to just accept it and make a life here, otherwise you're going to send yourself mad.

Nobody's dead. No one's trying to kill us (that we know about) and there doesn't seem like anything to fight. I'm not sure there's much else I can do. I'm not saying we just accept it and close our eyes, but until we know what's up, we're kinda ham-stringed.

All we can do here is be. Be happy, if you can, anyway you can work it. I don't have the answers, Lyd, though I wish I did.
