I feel sorry for the kids. From everyone local I've spoken to, it seems like this place was created as some sort of punishment, but the children have done nothing wrong.

I think some of them live with us now. They seem to have turned out alright. Sometimes negative situations do make us stronger and smarter, even if they shouldn't have to deal with all of that.
