I kinda like this no technology thing. It feels like I'm home. If anyone needs help with your handwriting to make the parchment last longer, I can give you a few pointers.

Oh, well I'm glad for lack of Phlegm calling and inconveniencing. This whole...lack of technology is doing that for me. Might take you up on scroll tips. I keep spilling and smudging the stupid ink everywhere.

And glad for lack of hexing. Though I think magic is pretty amazing.

I'll charm you a self-inking quill. That'll help with the smudging. As for the parchment, secure it so it doesn't move and don't drag your hand across the page.
