I know I already said this but after studying the scans I really have to repeat, that is shitty work. I know, 1945, but the good thing is it's not 1945 anymore. The bad thing is I don't think I'll be able to get all that crap out so I might have to incorporate it a little which is going to decrease the overall efficiency but I think I can bypass or remove the worst of it so you won't have to keep having more bits of your arm cut off. It does look like anything they put near your brain stem they protected a lot better but from the looks of it you've probably had some low level background feedback coming in for ages, maybe even right from the start. I remember that used to drive me crazy when I was working on mine, but that would have been a lot more obvious.

Yeah, I don't think they were worried about quality, just effectiveness. Whatever works the best and is easiest for you. I'm just glad there's someone here who can help with this shit, because I've been having a bitch of a time only having the one.

Quality is effectiveness. Reminds me of the hacks at home, and then everyone acts surprised when it all goes horribly wrong. One reason I prefer medical applications, keeps me from being in a footnote next to Oppenheimer.

How much sensation do you want? Motor control and pressure detection should be fine, even they managed that well enough, but simulating nerve endings seems like it would have been a detriment. I mostly just needed air flow and pressure but depending on the material I should be able to do more if you want. I have a couple of ideas for that.

I didn't have much sensation before. It felt like a normal arm except that, and it was heavier. I didn't even really feel it when it got blasted off, not in any kind of [...] pain sort of way. Don't know how it would be changing that now after so long of not. That make sense? I don't know if it does.

My original thesis was on phantom limb syndrome and then my expanded early prosthetics research dealt with paralysis as well, so yeah, it makes sense. Results varied a lot, some people got sensation but not much movement or the other way round.

It definitely won't be as heavy, anyway. Weight's been a constant priority right behind the actual function and I came up with a BMG that works pretty well. The Russians other main work on synthesising organic and robotic parts all used alien metals, which had its own downsides.

I'd definitely take movement over sensation. As long as it works and functions at least as well as my old one, that's really all I can ask for. It weighing less would be helpful, though. I compensated for it a lot.

"As well as the old one" is an embarrassingly low bar. Not to brag, but I gave myself wings. I got this.

Even the you who knows me doesn't like me much I'm trying not to be a pain in the ass.

Nah, being able to cut loose a bit is fun for me. I like the distraction, especially around the holidays.

Beats trying to navigate the weird interpersonal shit that happens when you mix all these timelines. You've probably got the right idea trying to avoid catching up on it as long as possible.

Got enough shit to deal with already, rather not add more to it.
It'll catch up to me eventually, always does.

I think you probably missed the worst of it as least. Unless there are more landmines no one's managed to trigger yet.

I pretty much came to the conclusion that the universe doesn't care enough about us to bother True. This one seems like it would care about irony more than mine.
