Not my whole life, Diego. But yeah, a good chunk of it. Waking up in the gutter, wondering where the last of your's money's gone while you're jonesing for your next hit as the real world's filtering in, brutal and unkind, but every once in a while you stop and wonder how the hell this happened to you.

Ever wonder what a little kindness, a little bit more sympathy, a little bit more patience would've done for us, in terms of our powers? Instead of being hooked up to brain scan machines while we sleep, being terrorized into getting that little grasp of our powers to please him, getting smacked around because we didn't play during noon and half past noon on Saturdays, being excluded because we're worthless disappointments, and pushed into doing things any normal goddamn parent wouldn't have dreamed of letting us do? And we've spent our entire lives being afraid of the Horror instead of just [...] trying to understand what it's about?
