Hi, Goodland. For those of you who haven't met me, I'm Josie Saltzman.
My sister and I have been talking about this and we wanted to do something special for all the kids in Goodland this year - not just the ones at the Villa, but the needy kids in the city, too. We think it's really important that everyone have stuff to open on Christmas or whatever holiday they celebrate, even if they don't have people here, but especially the younger people, so we've decided to organize a kind of angel tree / adopt a kid type thing for the holidays.
The way it's going to work is first that either you, as a kid, sign up to be a gift recipient OR you can sign up other people to receive gifts, too. I have a basic form ready
for you to fill out with the information we need. Gift recipients will need to be under 21, since we're focusing on the younger people for this.
Once we have our list of people who need gifts, we'll put out a call for volunteers to buy for them (or making things is cool, too!) There won't be an age limit on being a gift giver and everyone who signs up will be randomly paired with someone they'll be giving a gift, too.
Nothing too extravagant, there, because we don't want some kinds to feel bad or left out when someone gets, like, a new car compared to the smaller gifts. Yes, Tony Stark, we're looking at you. You'll just have to rein it in for this.
