People are getting nervous about all the threats flying around. Someone asked me about building something to withstand special powers or, to summarize, something superheroes can't destroy. Fair enough, I'd say. I was able to build jewelry to absorb most of someone's abilities and I had a protocol for an armored shield everyone said we didn't need that could envelope earth in my reality. Considering our various realities and experiences with different powers, I'd say we could come up with something, no?

It was too much. I know it was too much. Do you think he hated it and is too nice to tell me? Did I overstep?

That seems to be the best bet for both aesthetics and practicality.

Only thing about this is we have to be clear about what's happening to them when they step into that space. Star labs has a prison built out of the stuff so I can help build, but I don't think it should be used for that. Just to challenge those who willingly want it.

I completely agree with being clear and that it should not be any sort of prison. Or any other sort of threat. People without extraordinary abilities react aggressively to threats. Those with them have a greater chance of causing more harm to more people under the same circumstances. And, for some, this is now a home, and, ultimately, home should feel safe — be safe — for everyone. Will everyone see it this way? No. But actions speak louder than words. This is a chance to have actions speak volumes.

I have no idea where this prison idea came from. I was referring to a defense mechanism that could be activated in case of emergency, much like a sprinkler system in case of a fire or hurricane grade glass in case of hurricanes.

It came from my brain, since that's what this stuff is used for back home. I just don't want it to turn into that. We only had a similar system for that so I don't want to build another one of those is all. But if it's known to those who step inside it, then it should be fine.

If I thought for a second it would be used like that I wouldn't be doing it.

Laugh a minute.

[Cisco]

Has it always been a thing? Or a side effect of the job?

Ditto.

My best friend, Rhodey, was always good at talking me down. I miss him. You got someone like that at home?

Started happening more after my hands got sliced open. It's mainly how I access my powers and without them it's like being blind at times.

Best friends are good for that, Barry or Caitlin usually for me. Sometimes Harry. People that work in the lab.

It is definitely like losing a sense.

It sounds trite, but you know I'm around, yeah?

Yeah. Got so used to having powers being without them felt awful. Someone told me once they'd be a curse, I think I get that now.

I know, helps knowing. It's not trite, it's just not a thing I'm used to talking about.

A particle accelerator explosion, that I ironically helped to build.

I don't want anyone thinking I'm not capable.

It was mentioned in the previous comment. I was simply agreeing with the sentiment. All on the same page of no to the prison, yes to the sprinkler. Additionally someone mentioned collars, and while that was not presented as an idea, it was mentioned as something being recreated

I don't think it needs to be an announcement or anything, but when people come to that building there should be some sort of signage or something.

Think it all depends on what the specs end up being. Something like a caution sign.
