Peter Parker ([info]fromyoutube) wrote in [info]somerealityweb,
There's Thanksgiving, and in Canada it's celebrated in October, and in the USA it's celebrated in November. Lots of food. I know there are other harvest related festivals, but I don't know all of them. In December, there's Christmas with lots of food, and I know there are other winter holidays that have unique foods. Hannukah has foods, but I'm not Jewish, so I don't want to misspeak on that! Three Kings Day in January has some special food, or at least cake, I think. Same with Mardi Gras. Lots of families will do a lot of food on Easter, which is in the spring. This isn't counting various festivals in countries I've never been! I don't want to misspeak about them, but Carnival and Mardi Gras go together. Diwali is a festival of light, but I don't really celebrate it so I can't speak on it outside of mostly Google. And there are so many more possible holidays to look into and explore and learn about! And different countries and people celebrate some of the same holidays but in different ways depending on culture, which is also really cool and can involve lots of different traditions and food.
