He broke into a broad grin and laughed when Morgan told him about the super strength. "You know you can't take that back now, right?" Markus told her happily returning the Eskimo kiss. "It's definitely happening. Soon," he said as his eyes flitted across the rooftops, wondering just how high they could go. Yeah, they were going to have fun and knowing that Morgan had the strength backing her up made him even more excited about their current adventure.
Markus watched from the rooftop as he saw Morgan scan the surroundings too, knowing that similar calculations were going on inside her head as he'd done, which made him tingle with excitement. It made sense to him, in that moment, that he'd found her - fallen deeply in love with her - because with that incredible suit, Morgan saw the world as he did. That she saw him as almost human, or at the very least as much like her as he could be, was everything to him. They made sense. As he watched her progress up to the top of the building he laughed and when she finally joined him and kissed him he felt as breathless as she did. "I think it's what we're made for," Markus said as he matched her excitement. "This. Forever. Seems like the best possible plan," he said happily.
It took a lot of effort to step out of Morgan's embrace, but there was more to see here. Even as he let his hand trace the length of her arm, keeping contact with her for as long as possible, he was judging the trajectory it would take him to jump and catch an outcrop of the skyscraper in front of them. With a smile at Morgan he took off once more and hit his mark, catapulting him towards the glass and metal as he readied himself for the impact. There were scant millimetres of purchase for fingers and toes, but Markus felt like he could make any jump with Morgan watching. As he caught his target he looked back with a grin, knowing she'd be beside him in a second. Already he was planning the next edition of their comic-story, filled with action and high-jinx, and love.
