Who:Stiles and Cisco
What:Hanging out
When:Tonight
Where:His place and who knows where after

Friday night and Cisco had a new toy. He'd set up the playstation and had ordered a pizza for his new household. What better way to break the ice really. Everyone liked pizza. Kid Cisco really liked pizza. He left the door open so George could join them as well when he wanted to. He wanted to do something fun, not just work for once. He was actually going to have a weekend, damnit. He'd even briefly considered ice skating. Maybe he'd pass the idea onto Stiles and see what happened with it. It was kind of a christmas thing without being too over powering maybe. Plus he hadn't done it in forever.

He realized he needed hobbies. Ones that weren't work. Stiles on more than one occasion had told him he worked too much, and he was starting to agree. He hadn't had a real night out in a while again. Probaby a bad sign.

Stiles was bored and decided he'd get up and go bug Cisco in person. So, he sent his last net messaged to Cisco, got up and left his apartment. He almost made his way to the original apartment they all shared, but Cisco had moved as well.

Eventually, he made it to the apartment and knocked. Each time he knocked the door opened even more. "Hellloooo, he called out. I'm here to steal your stuff because you left your door open," he joked.

Cisco wasn't quite as bored when he had a new piece of tech in his hands, but he clearly wasn't against people stopping by with said open door. There was music playing from inside while he toyed with various settings and tweaked the system to his liking. "It's open but if you steal from me I'll put you in a portal half way across the city, Stiles." He returned the comment with a smirk. He didn't really worry much about thieves and stuff when he could just do that. It was a trick he'd been working on with his drones lately, sending people solo to an undisclosed location. He could do it back home sometimes, but it was shaky.

"In here." His room was open, and he was adjusting something on the projector he had on his wall to play the games. It was too blown out. Technically it was a bit big for his room, but he was determined to make it work.

"Well, that's not nice," he said as he walked in and followed Cisco's voice until he reached Cisco's room. "What are you doing?" he asked as he stepped into the room and tried to get an idea of what Cisco was doing.

His room was actually set up a little differently than it had been at their place before. He had a large L shaped couch that could fold out into a bed, the center was clear an embedded in the walls on either side of where his computer desk were was one projector type set up and one large computer screen. <a href="https://i2.wp.com/googodecor.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/45-Fantastic-Computer-Gaming-Room-Decor-Ideas-and-Design-29.jpg?fit=1200%2C675&ssl=1>He was not shy to show off the tech in his room. </a> "Neither is stealing, bad." He wagged a finger at him and adjusted a few more things on a projector that sat on one of his tables a far away as it could get. "Trying to calibrate the settings on this projector to display the games right." He turned to see his friend and grinned. "I think this is the first time you're seeing this set up right?" He was much happier than he'd been alone. He'd gotten a bit angry at the entity for taking everyone away for a while, but in this place he was doing much better.

"Is this your bedroom or the second living room?" It didn't look like a bedroom at all. He took a seat on the couch and continued to watch Cisco mess with the projector. "Ehh, you don't have anything I want to steal anyway." He flashed Cisco a quick smile and reached to smack Cisco's wagging finger. "Why can't you be normal and use a TV like everyone else?" He nodded. "Yeah, you didn't have any of this in our apartment."

"The couch is a bed. It pulls out." He shrugged. "It's a little annoying sometimes but it fits the space." It was comfortable beyond reason too so there was that. "As far as you know." That earned Stiles a return smack. "But maybe somewhere in here is a prototype of someone's lightsaber. Well, fakesaber until I come up with a better name." He rolled his eyes at Stiles' comment. "Have I ever done anything normal? Go big or go home." He commented idly as the image finally seemed to snap into place. "Nope Figured something new was a good idea. You know...actually make it home. I guess I have been working too much. I didn't even really get to decorating my room beyond the basic necessities."

"If you had a normal bed it wouldn't be annoying at all," he teased. That piqued his interest. He started to look around. Trying to see if he could spot it. "When do I get to see it?" he asked a little excited about it all. "I don't know. You kind of just did nothing but work when we lived together." He leaned back and watched as Cisco finally got the screen to do what he wanted it to do. "You guess? I told you that you were. Glad you're taking a step back from being a workaholic, though. You deserve to do other stuff sometimes."

"Pah. Normal is over rated." He waved a hand and didn't look anywhere except at Stiles. He wasn't gonna give it way. If Stiles found it maybe he'd show him, but he wasn't giving him a single hint. "If I was normal you'd have no fakesaber and a world of sad. You sure you want to see it now and not have a big fancy reveal?" He smirked as he flipped through one of the music apps on the playstation and let some random rock play in the background while they chatted and he sank into his comfy desk chair. "I'm trying anyway. I still want to go in sometimes, I worry..but I've rigged my alerts to go off if something happens. Every single one of these will tell me one way or another." He pointed a finger over all five systems in his room. "After the entity decided to take you guys away, I sort of slept at work. Had a bit of a melt down and needed a change. I think this place will be good."

"Are you sure? Maybe normal is coming back in style." Now that was a very good question. Part of him wanted to see it now, but part of him wants to wait for the big reveal. "I can wait. I think." Although, he was pretty sure he was going to bug Cisco about it from now until he can actually have it. "Let other people deal with stuff. You can't do everything all the time." He sounded like a broken record, but he didn't care. "You know, you could've talked to us, right?" Just because they weren't living together anymore didn't mean they weren't friends.

"I'm pretty sure? But I've never paid attention to trends really." He could be wrong but he doubted it. "It doesn't even properly light up yet, so it'd be pretty disappointing just now I think." The prototype never would light up, but still. He liked production when he gave someone a weapon. "That reminds me, I need to take a measurement. Stand up and hold your arm out down by your knee." It was a way of measuring sword height. He paused for a minute and shrugged. "I don't like anyone else in my system. I tried last time, my skin was crawlie for a week." He made a face and then frowned a little. "I didn't tell anyone. Morgan and Liz found out, but I didn't say anything." He'd been a little embarrassed about it really. "I wasn't even counting on them finding out."

"I was joking," he pointed out when it seemed like Cisco took what he said seriously. "I can wait. Maybe." He stood up and did what Cisco told him to do. "But isn't it Stark's system?" Not like he really knew what Cisco did. They never really talked about that stuff. "Well, I'm glad somebody found out. I would say learn to be sneakier about the stuff you are doing, but that could be dangerous. I'm still glad they found out."

"Good. The prototype doesn't even properly light up or fit you yet. So. It's just so I can wrap my brain around design." He reached for an old fashioned measuring tape on his desk. No fancy tech scan for Stiles, he didn't have one in his room surprisingly. "Ours. I built my own, it's the alert system that's attached to FRIDAY currently." He responded as he wrote down the measurements and motioned that he could sit back down if he wanted after the fact. "I guess it's probably good, it resulted in my being here now instead of my being alone in the other apartment. Or was part of it anyway." The kid thing had to do with it as well. "I'm happier here than by myself." He offered Stiles a controller next. "Lets find something to play."

"Chop, chop. I want to see this thing," he joked. He wasn't really trying to rush Cisco, but he really couldn't wait to see the thing. Once Cisco was done measuring him, he flopped back down onto the couch. "Oh, okay. Both of yours. So, see, if something happens, Stark can do something about it. It doesn't have to be you," he told him. "So, how come when Lydia and I tried to get you to do more normal stuff and work less you didn't want to listen to us?" He grabbed the controller when i twas handed to him. He pushed the PS button so the remote would turn on. "What games do you have?"

Cisco made quick notes and then rolled his eyes as he stuck the pencil behind his ear. "Mmmaybe." His response to Stiles getting to see the weapon soon. He was still internally cringing at the thought of anyone else in his system. "I guess I could try to be a little less paranoid. But after Jacen touched it the first time I had to do a complete overhaul for my own sanity of the system itself." He shrugged casually and sat down beside him with the second controller. "I've been dealing with some stuff since I got my hands fixed. Anxiety from it. That kinda thing. It's been happening a bit less though lately, I'll take less." He shrugged. "Nothing yet, I don't know what's good on this system for two." He paused for a minute to explain a little further about the injury. "When my abilities get screwy it's like not being able to see. Or feel properly. It messes with everything since it's tied to my nervous system." He watched the screen as different games showed up, it was even still on the original blue boring home screen.

"Why? Did he mess it up or something?" he asked, genuinely curious. "What exactly was there to ben anxious about?" He understood being anxious while being hurt. He didn't understand staying anxious after the healing had happened. "I get that, but you were still being kind of meh with us even after you healed." He leaned back and waited for Cisco to buy some guys or do whatever it was that he was doing.

"No, he didn't." Cisco shrugged. "I just got kinda paranoid. Both he and Morgan had seen a lot. My job revolves around secrecy back home and being able to keep a secret. If I don't take it seriously nobody would trust me. People with powers are treated differently where I'm from, and it's my job to protect their information and stats." He shrugged as he bought a few different avatars, and would mess with them later. "GTA is two player?" He commented off hand by scrolling through more games. "The powers took a while to correct even after the physical injury was healed. It did something to me. Something felt wrong, I only figured out how to correct it recently. I had to rebuild and recalculate the coordinates of this Earth. It took a long time actually. I still don't entirely know where we are but I can see again by having done that. With my abilities I mean. With that my brain is less...scrambly? I can focus now. Nothing is going to randomly happen now. I'm finally fully in control. Or at least ninety nine percent in control. Random scares me." So he acted cagey. "I didn't want to put you off too. When people find out about me they tend not to want to be around me." He admitted finally. "I don't blame them." There were times he didn't like his powers. They made people uncomfortable.

Stiles listened as Cisco spoke. He got it, he did, but none of them were home. Things were different here. "You're not home, though. You're here in some other universe where everyone seems pretty open about stuff."

He watched Cisco mess around with icons. "Mortal Kombat is two players. So are those Lego games if you want something laid back and goofy."

He glanced over at cisco as he explained the aftermath of the injury. He wondered why he didn't just tell them about any of that. "Random isn't always scary." He stared at Cisco for a moment before he pushed him. "If I didn't want to be around you, I would have left you alone in the apartment the moment I thought you were too strange for me." He paused for a moment before asking, "You're really down on yourself, aren't you?"

"Old habits are hard to break. And it gives me a sense of purpose. Being the one they rely on." Without purpose, what was the point? He finally chose some random anime icon, it wasn't that exciting. "Both?" Why not try both games, it wasn't like he had to pay much for rent or had other money responsibilities there. There were some nice things about Goodland, he managed to save a ton of money from working since it was basically just his needs, and he didn't drive a car.

Cisco let both games download, it was going to take a minute. He fidgeted slightly with one of the joystikcks on the controller and shrugged. "With my powers random can be terrifying." He admitted awkwardly before looking up at the download progress again and giving a little smile at the nudge. "You'd be one of the few who stuck around once they found out what I can do." He glanced over at that question and thought about it for a minute. "I never wanted to be a meta. I've never been.... comfortable. I don't want a cure or anything, I just.."He didn't know how to complete that sentence. "I've been called a curse. Being injured recently brought all that back up again. The guy I was with..at the end before he went away he found out could potentially know everything about him without him telling me. He didn't even want to be around me. I can't blame him." He still cared about him, and missed him but it hadn't done any favors to his confidence.

"Ah." He really didn't know what else to say. "Okay, both it is then." He wasn't the one paying for the games. It was up to Cisco since it was his system.

Stiles set the controller down next to him since he wouldn't need it for a bit since it took a minute for the games do download. "I doubt that since it seems like none of us are from normal places." It still sometimes blew his mind how open people were here. "You're not a curse. Don't see how you could be." He once again wasnt too sure what to say to that since he did't know the entire story because he was pretty sure there was a lot more to that then what was being said. "Well, he's not here now. Time to move on."

Cisco was unbothered by the purchase of both games. He didn't tend to flaunt it, but he was pretty well off. "No, apparently not." He responded as he waited for the games to download too, giving them a look of boredom as they took forever. He'd have to remedy that at later time when he didn't have company. His internet speed was doing a pretty good job, but he wanted it to do better. He'd have to do some research.

"Seems like it."" In response to the comment about being cursed. "I've been called it a few times. It's stuck, I'm trying to forget it but the recent events have brought all those things back.." He frowned a little and picked up the controller again just for something to fidget with "I'm trying. I went out the other night. " He gave a forced smile, it obviously didn't go great. "Never again on my own."

"Which events?" There had been quite a few and Stiles wanted to make sure he was on the same page as Cisco. "You know, you're not the only one whos been called things. We all have. You just can't let them take over your life or you will never have a life."

He looked over at Cisco. "How come? What happened?" There was no way he was going to let Cisco give him a little tid bid like that and not give him the full story of what happened.

"The maze." He didn't want to go too deeply into it. So he left it at that. They'd all been recovering from it, but that was the one he meant. "I know, it's just..easier said than done. I've never been comfortable in my own skin, add powers and that feeling just got worse over time." He shrugged a bit. "People here are starting to help though, lately I haven't felt as bad." He was finding his place slowly.

A pause as he glanced over at Stiles and then down at the remote. "Some random guy wanted to buy me a drink..he touched me." Cisco indicated the small of his back, skin to skin. "I sort of froze and dropped my current drink everywhere. Including on him. It was..not smooth at all." The opposite of smooth. The dude looked like he pissed his pants from where the drink splashed him. He hadn't been impressed.

"Ah, right. I wanted to make sure." Other things could have happened and he wouldn't have known. "But if you don't try then yeah, everything seems easier said than done."

Stiles listened as Cisco told him what had happened. "That's it? He touched your shoulder and you freaked out." That sort of sounded a little extreme and he really had no idea what to say. "You'll just have to try again or get used to being alone."

"I know. I've been trying not to think about it.." It helped staying busy. "I won't have time to after Stark's wedding." He shrugged, honestly looking forward to having responsibility at SI to take care of things. It wasn't all on him, but he was going to be taking over all of the tech for a couple weeks. It'd be a good distraction.

"Back, he stuck his hand under my shirt. When people touch me I never know if I'm going to see their lives or not. I'm not used to being touched anymore. Not since I got powers. It's a shot in the dark whether I'll see their entire lives or not. I usually just avoid being touched, when it happened it..startled me. I didn't expect it." The last thing he wanted was to be alone. He was tired of it.
