He cocked his head, listening to Morgan's words and feeling more than a little giddy just to know she'd thought that much about him. "I like the way I look seen through your eyes," Markus said with a soft frown of contemplation. "You remind me what I can be and that I'm not just learning how to do this life-thing for the first time, even if I haven't really experienced it for myself before." He smiled, "if I were writing this I'd say our souls probably knew each other before," he said with raised eyebrow that gave a nod to their scientific nature rather than their spiritual sides. Even so, since meet Morgan somehow something had clicked and Markus couldn't explain it any better.
"You did," he answered in a soft whisper. "And we're going to have to come up with a few new dreams, now we've made this part come true," he said in gentle challenge. The kiss came as a gentle and delightful surprise that Markus smiled into. He was reminded of Connor's words, to do what felt right, and nothing felt more right than being here now with Morgan and kissing her back. "You're incredible," he said resting his forehead against hers for a moment as he looked happily into her eyes. "I never thought I'd feel like this again, but you make me feel like I can do anything. Even be with you," Markus said with a shy smile.
