"As if I'd ever turn back," Markus replied with a bright smile, feeling a stutter of pleasure at the way Morgan laughed. He'd never imagined moments like this could exist, but here he was. Free and with an incredible woman who seemed to treasure him as much as he did her. "At least we can be sure the bike won't poop on the rug?" Markus replied with a happy chuckle.
He rested his hand on her shoulder as they stepped into the shop, wanting to see everything Morgan saw and to share what excited her. "They're all pretty," Markus said with a soft gasp as he studied the frames, wondering what would suit them the best. "It's got to be comfortable," Markus said looking at a couple of bikes that seemed designed purely for speed rather than the ability to carry the two through the wild open country they dreamed of. He looked down at Morgan and asked, "what do you think? I'm erring towards the older models. The classics," Carl would have liked that too, Markus suspected.
