Freddy looked down. Was he that transparent? And, if he was, did people besides good friends, like Jughead and Peter, read it all over his face? "Um, I mean, you know...I don't know how to tell what people are. Like maybe someone can be more than a friend." Was it even worth it? Freddy hadn't been kidding when he said the show made him think twice about humans in general. Still, he'd seen enough good, especially when heroes rushed to help those in the maze, to hold hope that maybe friendships and relationships were worth a risk once in a while.

Jughead nodded. "Yeah. That's tricky," he said. He was observant, and he looked for subtle clues. But reading people wasn't an exact science. There was huge margin for error.

"You just have to listen to your gut. And know that sometimes you might get it completely wrong. But most people should be cool with it, you know?" He had been lucky with Betty. They had known each other since they were kids. And then when they were older, they just...meshed in a way Jughead had never thought of before.

	Society's pressure and its notion of what was "normal" still made Freddy anxious. He'd be anxious crushing on any gender, but he was especially worried about telling his male best friend that he liked him. Like LIKED. "I don't want to scare Nico," he whispered to Jughead after glancing around to make sure their friends weren't listening. It appeared no one was. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"I could maybe talk to him for you?" He didn't really know Nico, but the fact they had a common friend in Freddy meant a lot. And Jughead would readily try to talk to someone he didn't really know on Freddy's behalf. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
