celebrating their engagement

When Alice hadn't been at work, she had been baking, and the stress baking that had started when Betty and Jughead had gone off to investigate the maze had simply continued upon their return. FP suspected that the little one inside of Alice was making her crave junk food. He didn't mind. He was a Jones, after all. He was more than willing to be her official taste tester. With the kids out of the cabin the atmosphere had brightened considerably, and he had built a fire in the fireplace. He'd told Alice to change into something more comfortable.

"Hey, babe?" FP called as he headed into the kitchen. "I'm gonna make us some hot cocoa. You doing okay in there?"

"Yeah, babe," Alice called back. She was fine. She'd changed into one of his shirts and a pair of loose fitting sweats. It was something she'd never wear back in Riverdale, but her life was completely different there. She had appearances to uphold and what not. She was much, much happier in Goodland, even with it's crazy corn maze and other unpleasant occurrences.

"I hope Jughead hasn't eaten all the marshmallows." She'd like to have marshmallows in her hot cocoa. It would be a nice treat to have curled up by the fire with FP.

	"You don't have to worry about that," FP told her. "I saved a whole bag for you." He grinned at her. "I know that you've been craving them lately." He crossed the room to where she stood and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a kiss. "I love you, babe." He pressed his hands against her bump. "Daddy loves you too, little one."
