Who:Cisco, Lydia, Stiles (posting order?)
What:Roommate things?
When:Today
Where:starting at their place then who knows?
Warnings:Not likely to be any.

Cisco's week had basically ended on Tuesday. A few days after the maze he'd come down with the flu and spent the week curled up on the couch or dying in bed. Come the weekend he was finally feeling much more human though, he just finished throwing away some of the drinks he'd left out so he didn't have to get up and risk falling right back over again for the sake of remaining hydrated. Lydia had been a huge help too with the soup in a cup or thermos idea. He wasn't really that into eating so they'd been useful. Easy things he could manage. But now he was way better. Even had gotten dressed and out of his sweats and pjs, and was disinfecting tings he may have touched. Remote controls and entertainment stuff for sure got good clean with Lysol wipes.

Cleaning however only provided so much entertainment. He was bored. He badly needed a change of scenery but had zilch in the way of ideas. He stuffed his blanket and a few other clothing bits into the laundry and flopped over on the couch. Not quite as lethargic as before, but still ringing true in pure boredom. Pulling out his phone, he scrolled idly through his twitter feed and other various daily sites before sending both roommates a text of boooooooredddd. Unsure where they might be lurking in the house.

Working was still weird for Lydia, though it was after events like the maze that she really appreciated the utter normalcy and banality of her job. It was easy to forget when she could lose herself in the day-to-day. It gave her an excuse to get out of the apartment and into the world. And it paid her rent and other living expenses. She couldn't be too mad at it even when sometimes she felt like her brain was atrophying right in front of her, or when customers were difficult.

Walking down the street with her headphones, the chime of a text message interrupted her music but she kept walking. She was almost home and her hands were full; a text could wait. As always, the ostriches freaked her out, but then she was letting herself into their home in no time. She moved quietly, mindful of the fact that Cisco had spent the whole week feeling awful in the living room and that he might be napping. Almost tip-toeing, she went straight to her room to set down the bags in her hands and read the text. Oh. Tugging her headphones off, she went back into the common area, a hand reaching up to push her hair out of her face and to the side. "Are you feeling better?

Stiles had taken some time off of work because there was no way he was going to get stuck at a desk until he was fully healed. Nope, he'd just go crazy. So, he opted to go crazy at home. He has left the apartment a few times and Scott had come over once, too. Mostly, though, he just kept updating the board with new information whenever it came. He still wished he could make some kind of connection to all of this stuff, but there was still nothing.

Stiles had gone up to the rooftop for some fresh air for a little bit. That got boring after a while so he headed back home.

Once inside, he saw that Lydia was home and Cisco was on the couch, dressed in actual clothes. "Looks like I came home just in time."

Cisco also found he wasn't exactly a fan of the ostriches living with them. He tended to portal his way past them, but not everyone had that option. So he'd wait for them to show up wherever they were. He didn't blame them for not just sticking around, he'd done nothing but sleep really. Wasn't entertaining unless one of them wanted to binge movies, then he was happily a movie companion. Other than that he wasn't able to do much else until today. First day of the return of his sanity.

"Uh huh, I mean aside from an incredible boredom.." The apartment had been put back together pretty nicely, Cisco liked a clean place. He didn't leave anything out for others, or leave messes behind if he could help it. He stepped back to take a look and make sure he got everything when Stiles showed up. "We should do something, anything that doesn't involve this couch. I don't care what." He'd spent enough time on it.

"If you're well enough to feel bored, you're definitely doing better," she agreed, leaning against the wall. Lydia was busy peering back down the small corridor to see if Stiles was in his room when the door to the outside opened. It looked like he'd been somewhere else, which was better than peering at the board. Lately, she'd begun wondering if gifting it had been a bad idea.

Crossing her arms, she looked between them both. "Well, we're apparently in the right city for people who get bored. There's sports, art, history, comedy, movies, plays..." Of the three, she was definitely not the fastest to reach boredom.

"When aren't you bored?" Stiles jokingly asked Cisco as he walked further into the apartment and then sat down on the couch. "I'm not that bored. Although, the rooftop became a little boring after a while." And that had been the reason for ditching it. At least Cisco's mega boredom meant they were going to go somewhere tonight. "What kind of sports could the three of us actually do?" He kind of wondered if Cisco ever even picked up a baseball bat. "Movies sounds good, though."

None of them were talking about the maze, it seemed like everyone just wanted to move on. Honestly Cisco was good with that too. Had he not been sick directly after he'd have probably gone right back to work himself, hell he'd have gone back anyway. Caitlin had stopped him, that was literally the only reason he was home. Cisco rolled his eyes at Stiles. "There are times!" But he did have a short attention span when it came to being at home lately. He was much happier if he had something to work on at the same time, but currently he hadn't even been allowed to go back to the lab to get anything.

"I could watch you guys play sports." He admitted with a little shrug, basically he'd never played a sport in his life. Except chess, if you considered that play sports. "Movies are good, especially if it's not here." He pointed at the couch, he'd spent enough time on it. "Maybe food?" Something not soup.

"Watch sports, not play one. Unless one of you has, like, a frisbee?" That was the only thing she could think of off the top of her mind that would accommodate three people and possibly not be terrible.

Pulling out her phone, Lydia found the movie listing for the nearest theatre then held the device out toward them. "Some of these look like sequels to movies I haven't seen," or even heard of, "but the theatre also has hot meals." Fried and greasy, but not soup!

He gave Cisco a yeah right look and then looked over at Lydia. "I don't have a frisbee. I have a bat." Not that he got the bat to play baseball. But that's what he had. No frisbees here.

Stiles leaned in to look at Lydia's phone before he grabbed it and started to look at what movies were playing. "Yeah, you're right...none of these screams SEE ME to me." He handed the phone back to Lydia. "Is there anything you want to see?" he asked, looking over at Cisco.

Cisco shrugged at Stiles look. Worth a shot? He really didn't want to play sports. Not a thing he was into. "No, no frisbees." He made a face as he looked over Stiles' shoulder at the phone and frowned. "Movie drought. Boring." None of them looked interesting at all.

"...I did get a email about a trivia night at a tavern?" Trivia could be a thing. He reached for his own phone to pull up said email. Coincidentally it was nerdy stuff trivia night. Space, media, all things deemed nerdy by public opinion.

That stupid bat. She couldn't hold back the eye roll accompanying its mention. Sure, it was somewhat useful, but also ridiculous.

"Trivia? Is there a prize?" The three of them could crush trivia, obviously, but any sort of alcohol-related prize might mean they wouldn't be allowed to play. Plus, she liked winning things.

Okay, Cisco's idea didn't sound so bad. "And is it even in a place we can go into? Since, you know, us two," he motioned to himself and Lydia, "are under twenty one."

Cisco raised an eyebrow at Lydia's eyeroll and glanced between the two. "Why do you have a bat? Do you play baseball?" He did't know. Maybe Stiles had some weird baseball thing? When he mentioned they were under twenty one, he frowned a little. "Hrm. maybe not that place then. But there might be another one." He scrolled through the internet to try to find a trivia night.

"It said the prize was more drinks." he answered Lydia with a bit of a smile, he forgot how young they were sometimes. "This one has puzzle games and a cash prize? And a restaurant" That meant anyone could be there.

Lydia raised a brow at Stiles; it was his job to answer Cisco's questions about the bat. It was disappointing about the first trivia event, but she brightened as he found another. "That sounds like a good option. How big is this cash prize? We could just hit up the trivia circuit and not have to work anymore."

"How else am I supposed to protect myself from something bigger than me? Everyone else has some kind of supernatural thing. I have my bat," he explained.

Stiles laughed a little at what Lydia had said. "So, we're going to become a professional trivia group?" Stiles didn't care about the cash prize. It sounded fun either way. "Are we going to that then?"

Cisco listened to Stiles with a tilt of his head. "I can make you something cooler and more effective than a bat if you want. I did make Thor an axe." He said as a matter of factly, adding a nod for emphasis. He had a roomie that made weapons and all he carried was a bat. Cisco needed to fix that.

"This one says it's a hundred for first place, fifty for second, and meal comps for third." Not that they had to worry about third. He was pretty confident they could win. There was a minor chance, but not one he wanted to entertain as a professional engineer, thanks.

"Something he's not going to do more damage to himself than anyone else, please." A better weapon didn't sound like too bad of an idea though. But she would have preferred something ranged.

"I think it sounds fun. We don't have to go to another one if it's not, but it'd pass the time nicely." She'd mostly been joking about being professional trivia players, but that was 1/6th of their rent for what? 30 minutes?

OoOoO, a cooler weapon? Stiles did like the sound of that. "What would you make me?" he asked right before Lydia jumped in. "So, no lightsaber then?" he half-joked.

It all sounded good either way. And it would kill some time. "Soooo, are we going then?"

Cisco gave Stiles a once over as he considered what kind of weapon to make him. "I could only make you a faux light saber anyway, I don't have crystals." Yeah he was serious, he'd considered ways to make light sabers before apparently. "It'd probably just burn you with what I've got access to from here." He considered Lydia's suggestion and nodded. "Are you good with a gun?" He asked Stiles thoughtfully, wheels already turning in his head when Lydia suggested they leave. He'd need a little time to come up with something for Stiles anyway.

"Yeah, lets go." He agreed as he reached for a jacket near by to pull on. Fake New York was getting cold. "I'm gonna not mention Stark Industries, don't wanna risk getting disqualified. Not sure if that's a thing that can happen, but why risk it. I want money. Who doesn't?" Who wouldn't want to win if given the chance to.

The idea of a lightsaber being shot down made Lydia relieved, as did the suggestion of a gun. There was no way Noah hadn't drilled gun safety into Stiles' head. But she was going to leave the weapons talk to the boys. She already had hers.

Still dressed for the outdoors, she made it to the door first, ready to go. "I'm sure they won't ask. You can lie if they do. Where is this place again? Should we take the jeep?"

"I would take a faux one." If Cisco could really do that, yeah, he'd want it even if it wasn't completely real. "Umm, not really. But I'm learning!"

He hopped up and made his way towards the front door the moment it clear that they were leaving the apartment. "Why would they even ask what your job is or any of us for that matter?" He was a little confused by that. "If it's not around the block, I'm driving us there." He wasn't in the mood to walk very far.

"I can try to make it then. It might take me a little, that's a new one on me." He admitted wit a shrug. "Its not impossible though." As Stiles said he was only learning gun things, Cisco made a thoughtful sound and nodded. "I'll try a few different lightsaber models then." He was already thinking about designs. "Chrome hilt?" He asked curiously, honestly it was going to be pretty fun to design. Real or not.

He gave a shrug at that "I don't know how these things work, if there are requirements or not. I guess it wouldn't be public if they did but who knows." Cisco agreed to the car, he didn't mind Stiles driving. "It's a few blocks way, I'll turn on the gps."

"Did we all miss the part where Cisco said it would burn you, plasma or not?" A cauterized wound was much harder to repair.

At least the jeep here tended to work more often than it did at home. She didn't doubt that duct tape and wrenches could be found in Goodland, but she didn't want to have to go hunt for them. Climbing into the backseat so Cisco could navigate, it was almost like being home. Almost. "If they ask, you work at Olive Garden." There was an obnoxiously big one of those not far from here, and if he was worried about his SI credentials, that wouldn't be a concern with a service job.

Stiles was grinning. "Oo, yeah, chrome would be cool." He looked at Lydia. "I missed that part." Not that it made him not want one any less. It was a lightsaber! Nothing would be cooler than that.

"Don't they just give us a paper, ask for a team name and then we go find a table to sit at?" He really didn't think they would be asking about their jobs. There was no reason to be asked.

Once they were all in the Jeep, he started it up and started to drive them towards their destination.
