Where: Stiles' place
When: 19th Oct
What: Visiting his injured buddy
Status: Complete
Warnings: Language and talk of violence/maze

That Stiles had come over and saved him from yet more embarrassment over Cora had been hugely appreciated, though Scott wasn't sure he should be out of the house yet. His shoulder had been kind of a mess and had to hurt like all hell, though he knew he could had dealt with much worse in the maze. Scott had been hurt too, during their escape, but unlike his friend he healed quickly and the gouged leg was almost back to normal now.

With a little time to kill Scott figured Stiles could use a break and he headed out and grabbed them both burgers and fries before going to his apartment and knocking on the door.

"Here," he said as Stiles opened the door," I figured someone should check you were eating right," Scott said with a grin as he held up his bag of goodies. "And by 'right' I mean 'all the fat in the world'," he said heading inside. "Lydia not about?" he asked with a glance around before following Stiles.

Stiles had been tired of hanging out in the apartment the other day and he had wanted to get one of the crazy milkshakes, which is why he had dragged both Scott and Cora out. Well, that and because Scott was doing dumb shit with Cora and his bestie definitely needed someone to pull him out before it all went boom.

Today was a different day. Nothing was going on. He wasn't even sure if anyone was home. It didn't sound like it, which was fine. It meant he could focus on updating his board, which he was doing when he heard the knock at the front door.

He had barely opened the door when Scott held up the bag of food. "Nope, it's just me," he replied as he opened the door wider so Scott could come on in. Once he did that, Stiles shut and locked the door. He went straight into the kitchen, grabbed a couple of plates and a couple of drinks. "Didn't expect you to be here. Thought you might be finding new ways to annoy Cora," he teased.

He loved hanging out with Stiles and Lydia together, but he and Stiles hadn't had much BFF time lately and Scott had missed it so he wasn't upset to hear he'd just got Stiles to himself. Also more food to go around.

"Annoying Cora is just my vocation in life, it seems," he said with a roll of his eyes as he took the stuff off Stiles so he didn't have to put weight on his shoulder. The sooner that healed the better and he knew his friend would pretend he was invincible if he didn't simply step in and help. "So you're taking some time off work?" Scott asked as he waited for instruction on where they were going to hang out and eat. "Probably for the best, I mean, imagine the effect recoil would have on your shoulder if you had to shoot...ouch." Also the recoil of Lydia if Stiles hurt himself more, which would probably be even more painful.

"You need to find a new vocation before Cora decides to slice and dice you one of these days," he half-joked. Stiles let Scott take the stuff that he had in his heads. There would have been no use in arguing that he was fine. That he was capable of carrying some dishes. "Yeah, there's no point in going when I can't do much right now. And I don't really want to be stuck behind a desk, sooooo, taking time off is better." He lead the way back to his bedroom, moved some of the stuff he had on his bed off to one side and then sat down. "So, what did you bring us to eat?"

"I wouldn't put it past her after the maze," Scott said with a shake of his head. "I was just checking in on her the other night, after you guys got separated in there she saw stuff about the Hale fire," he told Stiles, trying to explain why Cora had been so tense after their conversation. "I don't get how she does it, you know?" he said as they headed into the bedroom and Scott put down the plates and drinks on the bedside table. "How do you keep all that to yourself and never talk about it?" Maybe Stiles had more insight, given his training.

"Glad you're not stuck behind the desk. You'd end up hurting it," Scott said with a smile. "It would be work-based cruelty and you'd be fired. It would be bad," he said with a nod of his head. "Open the bag and find out?" he suggested as the quickest way to find out what food he'd brought. "How're you and Lyd dealing with the whole maze thing? Doing okay?" he asked, knowing they'd both had traumatic events to recover from, as had Scott.

Stiles scrunched up his face when Scott mentioned the Hale Fire. That had been a big deal in Beacon Hills until everyone started to find out that there are supernatural creatures running around. "Wasn't she alone for a while after the fire? And I think she doesn't share because she doesn't want to look weak since looking weak is bad when it comes to you guys."

He laughed. "Yeah, probably." He grabbed the bag and looked inside. "Nice, you read my mind." He was grabbing his food out of the bag and placing it on a plate before moving the bag closer to Scott so he could do the same. "Fine, I guess. I mean, we really haven't spoken about that day." He grabbed a couple of fries and shoved them into his mouth.

He knew Stiles would get it. The Hale Fire was almost legendary in Beacon Hills and that Cora had survived was a miracle. "Yeah, she was alone for a long time," Scott answered with a concerned frown. "Maybe too long?" he suggested as he gave a shrug to show he was utterly clueless to how she could think that way about him and his 'pack'. "Even if that's true for other werewolves, it's not true for me. She's gotta know that by now," and it kinda hurt that Cora hadn't opened up to him more.

Scott watched with a smile as Stiles tore into the bag and replied, "I always read your mind. Well, where food's concerned, anyway. You're pretty easily pleased." He grabbed a fry from Stiles' plate and ate it before piling up his own share and settling back to talk to his friend. "Yeah, I'm not surprised. It was a lot," he said with a frown. "So, how are you doing?" Scott asked, figuring as the subject was out there they could run with it.

"That's you," Stiles pointed out. "She's a Hale. None of them seem pretty open to being open. Derek was never open with us about anything. Peter only shared stuff with us because we always had to clean up his mess."

He was already taking bites of his burger, totally happy that he didn't have to make himself dinner tonight. "I am," he admitted as he took another bite. He shrugged his shoulder at Scott's question. "I'm fine now. I may have had a couple of nightmares after we got out, but I'm totally fine now. What about you?"

Scott screwed his face into a frown and shook his head. "Peter was a sociopath who didn't give a damn about anyone other than himself," at least that's how he'd appeared. He might have attempted to redeem himself but it was too little too late for Scott. "Derek's a different case all together. He was persecuted by people and didn't trust anyone, till he met us," he said with a shrug. "And maybe Cora's more like Derek, and that's okay. She is who she is and I accept that, but I wish she'd let me know what she's thinking... and once again, I'm totally the girl in this relationship," he said with a deep sigh.

"A couple of nightmares is all?" he raised an eyebrow at Stiles, suspecting there was a little more to it than he was telling him. If Scott was going to probe it was only fair he be honest with his friend and he shook his head. "When I got attacked... when my leg got hurt... I didn't tell you I saw it kill Mom too," he said looking down at his burger. "It's not an image that's going to leave me anytime soon. So, no, maybe that's why I'm trying to make sure everyone else is okay," Scott admitted looking back at Stiles.

Stiles couldn't help but snicker. "The way you've been acting, yeah, you are the girl in the relationship. You got to remember, though, Cora is not a girly girl. She doesn't seem to share her feelings unless her feeling is wanting to hurt you badly. If she wants to share deeper things with you, I'm sure she will. Until then, you have to either accept how she is or move on."

He nodded. "Yeah, a few. And don't look at me like that." He didn't want to dwell on what had happened in the maze because he knew that would just fuel the nightmares. He didn't want them, so he tried to move on as quickly as possible from that experience. "I'm sorry you had to see that in there. Why didn't you say anything before?" he asked. "I get it. You're being you. But we're fine. As far as I know, we are." He grabbed a fry and threw it at Scott. "Cheer up or get out," he joked.

He nodded as Stiles gave him the advice, knowing he was right about Cora. "I get it, I do, but after that whole thing what kind of asshole would I be if I didn't at least try to help her deal with the maze?" Scott said with a shrug. "I like her, like, a lot. If she's hurting I want to help her." He'd be the same if it was anyone else in his circle of friends. "I guess I just don't know how. That she told me she saw the fire was a pretty big deal, cause she doesn't share much," so maybe he'd just have to deal with tiny steps.

Scott opened his eyes wide, "look at you like what? Like a concerned friend?" Yep, he'd worry about Stiles too. It was who he was and he couldn't change that. "You guys had been through enough already," Scott answered with a shrug, "and getting you to the medical tent was more important than filling you in on the crazy," which he doubted Stiles would buy. Even though it was totally true. Scott acted with lightening reflexes and caught the fry in his mouth and chewed it with a big grin on his face, "better?" he asked with a laugh.

"Maybe she doesn't want your help," he flat out said. "And you're going to have to accept it." He was pretty sure he was going to have to say that line a few more times. "Not pushing her is how. If she really wants you to help her deal with what she saw, she'll come to you. Until then, don't push it."

He ate some more fries. "Like you don't believe me when I say I only had a few nightmares. Because I'm telling you the truth." He listened to Scott's excuse and then rolled his eyes at it. "Uh huh." Scott catching the fry was not at all shocking to him. He had just wished it had hit Scott like he wanted it to. "Yes, much better."

"If you came to my apartment I'd offer you a drink," Scott said looking down at his food, "but it would be your choice to decide if you wanted one or not. I kinda feel like this is the same thing, you know?" he said eating a bite of his burger as he mulled over what Stiles had said. "I'm not pushing, just asking," he hoped Cora saw it that way and if she didn't he had a feeling she'd tell him straight, like so many other times before. "Do you think I'm crazy for pursuing her?" he asked Stiles out right, cause he sometimes felt as though his friend thought so.

"Okay," Scott said with a nod, "I believe you, but I also know you well enough to know you'd say 'I'm fine' when you're totally not," he said with a smile, "so I ask twice to make sure cause you're a terrible liar." Yep, Stiles wasn't going to have a damn thing to do with the whole 'I didn't tell you because...' either. "Okay, let's forget the maze ever happened. What've you been up to since, other than playing with your Xbox and eating bad food?" he asked with a grin. "Tell me everything. I want all the gossip, cause I have none of my own to share," Scott said stuffing fries into his mouth.

"It sounds like Cora doesn't want your drink." Hey, if Scott can use metaphors, Stiles can continue right on with them too. "How many times have you asked her?: He knew how Scott was. Once was never enough and twice was never enough either. "No," he said with a small shake of his head. "I don't think you're crazy. I can see the appeal of her. I might have had a tiny crush on her when she first showed up into our lives, which sounds weird because she wasn't exactly the nicest then. Anyway, I get it."

He was a little surprised that Scott believed him. He thought for sure he would have to convince his best friend a few more times before he realized that Stiles was fine. "Hey, take that back. I'm a damn good liar." He's had to lie enough to the adults whenever supernatural stuff happened. "That," he said as he pointed over to the board, "is what I've been up to. And staying away from Cisco since I don't want to catch his cold."

"You're telling me she just keeps coming over to refuse my offers, huh?" Scott answered with a small smirk Stiles' way, cause he knew what he was doing here. "I only asked her a little bit," he said wrinkling his nose and hoping his friend didn't actually force him to spell it out. Each time he'd asked her she'd given a little more away, even if she hadn't initially wanted to. Maybe in time Cora'd realise sharing stuff with him didn't hold any threat? Or he was going to be the girl forever. "At least you get it," Scott said with a little relief. "Who knew you had room to crush on Cora when you were crushing on Lydia so hard?" he teased gently. "I guess those crushes really can work out," and if he stuck with it maybe he'd get back something as good as Stiles and Lydia had. Or he'd get his throat ripped out... time would tell.

"Oh, Stiles," Scott said dropping his head and shaking his head. "You can't even lie about being a good liar," he teased. Stiles might be quick with the excuses, but most of the time he suspected the adults were more interested in trying to back out of the awkward than pinning him down on the details. Scott looked over at the board and then back at Stiles. "Did you come up with anything?" he suspected not, because it would have been the first thing he'd heard as he'd come through the door. Okay, the second after 'what's to eat?' if he had. "You didn't tell me this house was disease-central. I never would have come to breath your air if I'd known!" Scott told him with a grin.

"More like you keep coming over and she keeps refusing your offers," he said with a smile. "Hey, I was with Malia. I wasn't always obsessed with Lydia. Just mostly obsessed with Lydia." He really did wonder if Scott and Cora would actually end up together or would it always be just like this?

"Pfft." He reached over and smacked Scott's arm. "Next time I'll let you do the lying and see how far we get." He finished off his burger and then started to finish off his fries. "No," he said around a mouthful of food. He really did wish he had something. But all he had were lists of dates, the odds things that have come and gone, the new cities, and of all the people coming and going whenever anyone mentioned it. "Like you have to worry about that! Mister Werewolf and your super werewolfness. You never get sick. It must be nice."

"I think we killed the coffee analogy," Scott said with a laugh at Stiles' comment. "She wants other stuff, just not the coffee," which was all good, but totally weird too. "I know you were, buddy, but Lydia was always your one," though when Stiles had been with Malia he'd been all in. There was no doubt there. "I'm just glad you guys are happy," he told him with a smile, "and maybe I want a little of that myself."

Scott laughed, "my brain doesn't work fast enough to make up the shit you do," he replied honestly. "They would believe me, though, cause I'm a good boy and I'd never try to deceive the grown-folks. Unlike some people," he said with a wiggle of his eyebrows. Scott hadn't expected there to be any new patterns on the murder board, but he could hope. "Still random city, huh? Nice." And as for the disease infested apartment he had to laugh again at Stiles' use of words. "Maybe you should always call me Mister Werewolf. It has a nice ring to it," he suggested, ready to duck whatever was thrown next. "Just because I can't get sick doesn't mean I'm invulnerable," he shrugged and pointed to his leg, "case in point. Hurts like hell, but it'll heal."

"She wants the other goods," Stiles said with a smirk. "Okay, I'm done with the coffee analogy." He had to throw in one last thing, that was all. And now he really was done. "You'll have it sooner or later."

He finished off his fries and then pushed his now empty plate to the side. "And this is why I come up with the lies and the plans." He stared at Scott, straight-faced for a moment before he started to bust up with laughter. "Our parents don't believe us. And most of the teachers didn't believe us." He stopped laughing, finally. "Yeah. I keep trying to find a connection, but still nothing. And everything listed happens constantly but at different times. Sooooo, yeah, I got nothing still." He grabbed his soda and took a sip of it before setting it back down on the nightstand again. "I'm not calling you that now. You like it too much." He looked down at Scott's injury. "You're not healed yet? I would have thought you would be...unless you're doing that whole overthinking thing again, which doesn't let you heal quickly."

"Can't blame her for that, the other goods are pretty damn good!" Scott had to chip in with a laugh. He wasn't complaining about that aspect of their relationship. Stiles might be sure he'd get his happy on sooner or later but Scott was less sure. "One way or another, it'll work out," he replied with a small smile.

"You truly have the brain of an evil genius," he answered with a grin, "and whether they believe you or not, I'm just glad you're using your brain to lie for our side not theirs!" Scott might be good at spotting Stiles' lies didn't mean he wanted to be on the receiving end of the quick wit and the logical answers he came up with! It was a skill he knew he'd never have, but he was glad his friend did or they'd be in way more trouble than they were normally.

Scott understood how frustrated the lack of patterns must be to him. "Maybe you're just going to have to deal with there being no logic here?" he suggested, "which I know is gonna hurt." Looking at the murder-board really didn't give room for any other option. "The maze thing felt like The Entity playing us," Scott said looking up at Stiles as he stacked their plates and tucked them out of the way. "Maybe that's an angle to look at?"

He gave a laugh and shrugged, "cause you can't call me something I like now? No fair!" he gave a faux pout and grinned. "Not healed yet," Scott said as he looked down at his leg, which he agreed should have healed properly already. "I can't help overthinking when something on that scale happens! And I know it doesn't help me heal, but there's a lot to think about!"

"And if it doesn't work out, you'll just have to move on."

Stiles grinned. "Well, maybe not an evil genius because I'm nowhere near evil. Exactly, so stop saying I don't know how to lie."

It was frustrating that Stiles hadn't found anything yet. It had been months and there was still nothing. "There's always some kind of logic or pattern. I mean, there is sort of a pattern when it comes to the weird stuff that happens." He shrugged. "Or maybe it was something else messing with us. We just don't know."

He leaned back until his back was resting against the headboard. "I don't believe that pouty look," he said with a wave of his hand. "Weelll, stop overthinking it. It's over with now."

Move on and still live in the same apartment? That would make life complicated, he thought as he gave a nod of agreement. "If I can get along with Alison, I can get along with Cora," he said with a small sigh under his breath.

"I'm just going to call you Dr. No from here on," Scott said with a grin, "cause you're totally an evil genius. All you need is a lair and a few minions and you're set for world domination," he teased. Yep, he was totally glad Stiles was on his side, cause the world would be a dangerous place otherwise!

Scott nodded his understanding at Stiles' frustration. "It's the not knowing all the factors that makes it so difficult, right?" he frowned, wondering if a pattern would ever show up. "The longer we're here the more information we get," he said tentatively, "though whether it'll help or not is another matter."

"Telling me to stop thinking about the maze-stuff is like me telling you to stop looking for murder-board patterns," Scott answered with a roll of his eyes. "Easily said and incredibly hard to do. And my pouty-look is amazing and believable," he said with a grin.

"Whatever happens, I'm here for you, buddy." He reached over and patted Scott's knee.

"Fine, give me a weird villain name. It'll come back to bite you in the ass." He grinned evilly. "I guess I better get to work on that stuff then."

Stiles looked over at the bored and sighed. "Right." He looked away and back at Scott. "I'm slowly starting to feel like we'll never get enough information or the right information to figure this out."

He shook his head. "You keep thinking that way about your pout. The maze, though, the stuff in it wasn't real. I mean it was real, but the visions, those weren't real. It was to fuck with us. And you're still letting it fuck with you."

Scott gave him a small smile and nodded, "I know you are, brother. Means a lot that you're here." If Stiles wasn't in this world he'd be going even more crazy, because the two of them together was just how it'd always been.

"Oh god, I think I just set you on the road to world domination," Scott smacked his head against the wall, as if trying to punish himself for thinking the stuff up. "How. Many. Times! I must learn not to give Stiles ideas," he said with another smack, that might have hurt an honest-to-god human, but was barely a tickle to Scott.

His eyes narrowed at the way Stiles sounded and shook his head, "if you need to try to figure it all out, then try. Doesn't matter if you get stuff wrong," Scott said by way of encouragement. "Some people do crosswords to relax, others jerk off... Stiles has a murder-board," he said with a shrug. "You keep yourself sane however you need to."

Scott gave an even more pouty look Stiles' way and batted his eyebrows, "I sure will!" he answered with a grin. The maze had been a whole other level of weird and yeah, it was definitely fucking with him. "If Mom were here I'd be able to brush it off, you know?" he said trying to explain how his brain was working. "Without seeing her, the last images I have are the maze-ones and that's just crappy and it might take a while to shift them, know what I mean?" It had all felt so real.

"Is this when I start doing my evil laugh?" He laughed when Scott started to bang his head against the wall. "And this is why I do all of the talking." He laughed again. "Oh, Scott, you'll never learn."

He didn't want to get stuff wrong. Getting stuff wrong meant bad things could happen and he didn't want the bad things to happen. "I'll just keep working on it until I see something. You and Lydia keep me pretty sane." If he had been stuck here alone, he'd probably be going crazy right about now.

Stiles reached over and squeezed Scott's cheek. "So cute," he said with a laugh. "She probably won't show up here. Just like I doubt my dad will ever show up here. So, you really have to move on from the crap the maze showed you unless you like that," he said as he pointed towards Scott's wound.

"Go for it," Scott replied with a laugh, "you'd better get your evil-laugh down now so you don't embarrass yourself when you start your world domination!" He grinned back at Stiles and laughed with him. "Why do I even open my mouth, except to shove both my feet in there?" he asked with a shake of his head.

"Wait a minute, I help keep you sane?" Scott looked at him bug-eyed. "Somehow that feels like an insult," he said with a frown as he tried to figure out why. Nope. No clue. "Something'll pop out sooner or later," he assured Stiles, "or we'll get extra info. Either way, you're good."

Scott laughed and pushed Stiles away, "you dork," he said sticking his tongue out at him. When he got down to the actual advice, though, he became really still. Knowing that Stiles was right didn't help. "I get it, I do. It was just a shock to see her and then to see her like that was tough too. It's the whole mind-fuck of it," Scott said frowning. "I know that I'm dwelling on it too much, but I can't help it right now. I'll pull it together," he promised Stiles. "And if I don't heal up, you have my permission to kick my ass and shove reality in my face some more," he told him with a smile.

"Good point. I shall start practicing now." He cleared his throat and then gave an evil laugh. "Do I need to answer that? It sounds like you already gave yourself the answer," he teased.

"Yeah, you help keep me sane. Why does this seem surprising to you?" he asked, a little confused. "Yeah, I know."

Stiles let himself fall over more than he needed since Scott didn't push him that hard. "Ugh, best friend abuse!" He did sit back up when things to serious again. "I get it. But you can't let the evil of that thing win. Your mom is fine. Just like my dad is." He gave Scott an evil look. "Remember this when I start kicking your ass." Until then, he reached over and pinched Scott's side.

He raised his eyebrows as Stiles attempted his evil laugh and sounded more like one of the Seven Dwarfs on crack. "Yeah, you should definitely practice more," Scott said with a laugh. "No one's gonna be quaking in fear at that thing," he teased. He gave a shrug of admission, "I'm a mouth-klutz. It's a fact," he acknowledged, "I keep hoping I'll grow out of it but so far not so much."

Scott grinned, "cause I can barely keep myself sane most days, let alone help keep you on the straight and narrow too," he told Stiles. "Without you guys here I'd already be being locked up, so I'm glad you're here too," because having most of the pack around was the best thing about this weird world they were living in.

Shaking his head he reached over and gave him a hand up, making sure to pull his good arm. The last thing Stiles needed was more time healing! "Best friend abuse, huh? Isn't that the point of having one?" Scott asked with a laugh. "I know abusing me is a prime reason you keep me around," he smirked. "I won't let it win," Scott said definitively, "but it's a process, you know?" From everything he'd heard from other people on the web it seemed like they blipped out of their world and then blipped back in - he could testify Stiles hadn't gone anywhere when he'd been taken, so his Mom and Stiles' dad were good and not freaking out, which was enough to know. He flashed Stiles a smile of thanks for the reassurance before giving a small squeal when his friend got pinchy. "Okay, no fair! Definite best friend abuse!!!" he told him shooing his hands away in case they came in for another try.

He rolled his eyes and then smacked Scott's arm. "Dude, you're never going to grow out of it. It's part of you," he teased."

"So, basically, we keep each other sane. That's what I'm getting out of this conversation."

He nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, best friend abuse! Um, no?" He tried to keep a straight face, but the smile broke through pretty quickly. "It's only a small part of why I keep you around." He leaned over and rested his head on Scott's shoulder. "you make a pretty good pillow," he said, grinning. "Yeah, I know. Just don't let it eat at you for much longer. We don't know what might be coming next." Scott can shoo his hands away all he'd like. Stiles only had to wait for the perfect moment before pinching at Scott's side again.

Scott gave a long sigh and then looked up at Stiles, "in that case it must at least keep you amused or you wouldn't have stuck around for so damn long." Maybe he didn't actually want to grow out of it after all, he thought with a grin as he lounged back on the bed. "I'll just keep being me and you... practice!" he commanded.

"Scary as it sounds, it would seem that is the case," Scott replied nodding. "It's kinda terrifying when you put it like that, isn't it?"

If Stiles wasn't hurt he'd totally wrestle him about now for the pillow remark, but instead he just patted him on the head like a good dog. "Here I thought everyone needed a bosom for a pillow," he said quoting Brimful of Asha, resting his head against Stiles for a moment to show his own affection for his friend. Scott nodded, knowing Stiles was right about what might be on the horizon. Anything could be headed their way. Literally. "I've got you keeping me sane," he said flashing him a smirk, "so I'll be okay." Though he couldn't say the same for Stiles if he kept with the pinching fingers that had Scott jumping up from the bed and moving out of harm's way. "You can't be trusted with a Scott - you abuse him," he said with a wag of his fingers.

"You do amuse me." He stared at Scott for a moment before laughing evilly again. "Better?"

He half shrugged at Scott's question. "I don't think so."

"Well, you don't exactly have one," he said as he gave Scott and smack right in the chest. Ugh, when Scott moved, Stiles just let himself fall over onto his side, watching as Scott moved away from the bed. "Come back here. I have abandonment issues here." He waited a moment before saying, "fine." He rolled over onto his stomach and pretty much just spred hismself out until he was taking up most of the bed. "You can have the floor then."

"Excellent," Scott said preening a little at the compliment and he was impressed enough with Stiles' second attempt at an evil laugh that he stopped and nodded encouragingly. "Much. Aren't you glad you did that in front of me first and not some cape-wearing super-person you were trying to thwart?" he asked with a smirk.

Okay, the only thing Scott had to offer on that was a quick hug. Stiles was the next best thing he had to a brother and if they were good for one another's mental health, it was a big win all around. Of course, he couldn't help but ruffle his hair as he moved away, cause best-friend-rules came first!

"Hey! Ow!" Scott said at the smack. "Jeez, what is with all the violence today?" he asked, with a shake of his head. "Oh, you certainly have issues, my friend," Scott told him with a laugh, watching as Stiles starfished on the bed. "Me and the floor'll get acquainted," he said with a nod, though he squished on the corner of the bed and perched, "or not. I'd hate to give you too much anxiety," he said with a smile.

"I'm very glad. Although, I think I need a better villain name. Dr. No isn't very scary-like. Come up with some better for me. Chop, chop."

Well, Stiles will take that hug. He hugged back just before Scott could pull away.

"I don't know," he answered with a shrug. "What are you trying to say, huh?" He glared at Scott. "Good. You do that. Just don't get too friendly, huh?" That didn't look like the floor. He scooted over a little and started to push Scott with his foot. "This is not the floor. Off you go."

"Not feeling Dr. No?" Scott said with a frown, "but it's such a classic! Okay, let me think..." he frowned as he looked Stiles up and down, wondering what he could christen his evil friend. "From here onward you shall be named, Captain Chaos!" he said pretending to dub Stiles with a sword.

"I'm trying to say you're a violent little fucker," Scott told him with a shake of his head. "I thought I'd been pretty clear," he teased. He bent down and stroked the carpet, "I think I found a new best friend," he grinned back at Stiles and before he knew what was happening he was sitting on said carpet a whole lot closer than he'd anticipated.

"Well that was uncalled for," Scott said waggling a finger in Stiles' direction. "I'm going to stay here with my new bestie and cuddle the rug," he said curling into a ball and getting himself comfortable. "So much better than the crappy bed," Scott wiggled his eyebrows. "Although... now I can see under your bed and it's not a pretty sight! Dude!"

"Nope, I'm not feeling it. I need something better!" He waved Scott off as he tried to make Dr. No stick. Nope, it wasn't happening. "Hmm, well, that name is better. I'll take it...for now."

Stiles gave Scott a shocked look. "I don't know what you're talking about. I'm never violent." He grinned evilly when Scott ended up on the floor with his fake new best friend.

"Was it? I mean I am Captain Chaos. Muhahahaha!" He stuck his hand over the edge of the bed and gave Scott a thumbs up. "You do that." He grabbed one of his pillows and pulled it under his head. "Quit looking under there if you don't want to see the mess."

If Scott were totally honest, Captain Chaos suited Stiles down to the ground and not just because of his increasingly cluttered murder-board! "Well, for now, we'll go with it and see how it works out for you," he said with a laugh.

"Of course you're not," Scott muttered to himself as he starred up at Stiles. "I just got kicked in the butt and evicted from the bed by the local poltergeist, huh?" He shook his head in disbelief, "not buying what you're selling, buddy. Not even slightly."

Scott rested his head on the floor and hit his forehead slowly, "oh god, what have I created? IT'S ALIVE!" he shrieked at the heavens, like Dr. Frankenstein before him. "You put me down here. Now you expect me not to look too?" Scott tossed a pair of dirty somethings at Stiles, "impossible! And dude, put your used condoms in the bin!" he teased, though he wasn't going to venture that closely into the detritus to find out if he was right about that!

"Sounds good to me!" He had a feeling the name was going to stick around for quite a while.

"Are you saying my room is haunted?" He sat up a little and looked around. "Oh, fine." he flopped back down, grinning.

"I don't know. What have you created?" He reached over and messed up Scott's hair. Payback for doing that to him earlier. "Well, yeah. Look up at the ceiling or something," he told him as he scooted over a bit so he could see over the edge of the bed. "What's that..." he grabbed the thing Scott had thrown. "Oh, I was looking for that sock." He tossed it to the foot of the bed. "Pfft, now you're just making shit up." He reached over and flicked Scott's ear. "Even though you're being a pain, I'm glad you came over tonight."

He couldn't help give a small roll of his eyes, cause surely he shouldn't like his nicknames this much? Still, it was Stiles and he couldn't help but laugh and indulge him. Yep, Captain Chaos was here to stay.

"Totally. You didn't realise that yet?" Scott asked with a look of feigned shock. "I'd have thought you'd have the ghost pinned to a board and interrogated by now," he teased. If Stiles ever did meet a ghost he would actually feel sorry for it.

"A monster, is what I've created," he said swatting Stiles' hands away from his head with a laugh. "It's pretty difficult to concentrate on the ceiling when there might be new life-forms under there waiting to strangle me," Scott said tossing another garment at his friend. "Seriously, I'd have thought you'd be tidier now you were living with Lydia. I guess not, huh?" he grinned. Scott sure hoped he was making shit up cause the last thing he wanted was a surprise find! When Stiles spoke he gave a nod and smiled, "glad I came over too. With work and school and everything we've not spent nearly enough time together lately. Kinda miss it," he said grabbing a pillow from the bed and getting comfy. "We need to do this more."

"No," Stiles said, still playing along. "I didn't realize it. I should start paying a little more attention in this apartment. I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to talk to a ghost."

He snickered. "Too late now." He moved his hand away, but then he quickly messed up Scott's hair some more before pulling his hand away again before Scott could swat at it. "But this is my room. She's got her own room." His room wasn't that bad. He just hadn't bothered to check under the bed in a while. Oops. "Okay, I wore that shirt the other night." He grabbed it and tossed it in the same direction he had tossed the missing the sock. "I miss it too," he admitted. "So...I have a crazy idea. What if Lydia and I moved in with you guys?"

"I can't believe you let this one slip past you," Scott replied with a chuckle. "A chance to see what lay after life and find out if ectoplasm is an actual thing, or just something that grows on your bed," he teased, referring to the crap under the bed.

He should just give up and let Stiles fuck with his hair, but it wouldn't be Scott if he didn't fight it a little and when he came in to mess his hair a second time, Scott gave his ass a smack. "Right. And I'm guessing your room is the chill out and eat pizza room and hers is the romantic and getting naked room?" he asked, dragging an empty pizza box out from under the bed and laughing.

"Sure, I totally remember you wearing it," Scott said playing along with Stiles and his wardrobe fantasies. When he suggested they move in together he propped himself up on his elbows and looked at his friend. "You really want me cramping your style?" he asked, wondering what had brought on the urge. "Have you spoken to Lyd about it? Cause I'm pretty sure Cora would love to have someone around that isn't me, and you know where I stand. Always," he said with a smile.

"I've been busy," he said with a wave of his hand.

"No. We get naked in here too," he told him. "We bounce back and forth between rooms." His room was a tiny bit messy and Lydia's was totally clean. But that didn't mean each room was only for certain things. They lived in both.

"I remember wearing it," he said with a smack to Scott's head. "You wouldn't cramp my style," he said with a roll of his eyes. "No, not yet. I wanted to see what you thought first." And then he was going to talk to Lydia about this and see what she thought about it all. "We barely get to see one another. Plus, we did talk about living together after high school. We didn't get to do that, so why not do it here!?"

"I hope you know I'm never going to unsee the image of you guys 'bouncing' from one room to the other," Scott said rubbing his forehead, troubled by the disturbing imagery. Nope, it was there to stay! "Thanks for that, Stiles," he said with a deep sigh."

So they were really talking about this? "I'm not sure Lydia's going to want me in the picture," Scott said with a grin, "though I get it. We haven't been hanging around one another as much as we did back in Beacon Hills, but we were prepared for that." They'd both had plans and it wasn't as though they'd never talk, but they'd be on the other side of the country to one another. "Maybe we should do it while we have the time?" he said looking up at Stiles. "Could be fun, if the girls are on board," he agreed. "Sure. Why not. Just promise me you'll clean under your bed sometimes?" he glanced under the bed once more and laughed.

Stiles started to laugh again. It wasn't like he was trying to put images into Scott's head. If he had been trying, he would have said something more than bouncing back and forth between bedrooms. Oh yes. He'd really give something to Scott to imagine. "You're welcome!"

He shook his head and rolled his eyes. "See, now you're on the same page as me. Back home we're on opposite sides of the country now. Here, we're together again. Why not do some of this stuff before it's too late?" He playfully pushed Scott away. "I can't promise that, dude! So, I guess I'll talk to Lydia later about this and you can go talk to Cora about this idea."
