Who: Morgan Stark and Pepper Potts
What: Pepper is planning things, and has some stuff to run by Morgan
Where: Casa de la Stark
When: Saturday Morning

The sudden change in Pepper’s life-- leaving her life back home, and arriving to a place where Tony had built a new version of Stark Industries and was caring for three teenagers, one of which was their daughter from the future-- it had been a lot for Pepper at first. She tried, of course, to get her footing, but there was an adjustment period. But Pepper had always been good at adapting, at embracing the chaos and trying to tame it (perhaps that was another reason that she loved Tony as much as she did).

Ever since Tony had proposed to her again, Pepper had been floating on air. Yes, she had already been engaged to Tony when she had arrived, but here she sank her teeth into planning something. Here they had friends who couldn’t be with them when they were married before. Goodlands, their tiny apartment with their three teenagers and their cat and their dog, it was the perfect life. Pepper was starting to get in the groove of things.

In front of Pepper was a notebook, where she was making list of all the things they would need to do for the wedding, the cake to order and the people they wanted up with them. Pepper had not yet asked the women she’d wanted to be in her party, even though She knew Tony had asked people from before. She also needed to ask Rhodey if he would mind giving her away, in lieu of her own family. She was taking a long sip of her coffee, and staring down at the tasks before her when she spotted Morgan.

“Hello, sweetheart.” Pepper said affectionately. She knew it must be hard for the teenager, to be dealing with parents who ultimately knew little about her, about her childhood and the things that parents should know about their child. But Pepper was trying. She noted down all the things the three kids said, trying to remember little things like favored colors or snacks.

“Do you think you have a moment? I just put on a fresh pot of coffee.”

Morgan had gone through a bit of emotional whiplash after Pepper had arrived. She had barely come to terms with the fact that her mom was gone, and then suddenly she wasn't. All at once, the anger that was boiling up didn't have anywhere to go. She never wanted Pepper to think she wasn't happy that she was there, she just didn't know how to process any of it at first.

It didn't take too long for it to pass, and Morgan was settling into her new life in Goodland. It was for all intents and purposes- perfect. Even though she realized that any of them could be sent back to their perspective realities at any time, she decided to keep her promise to Markus, and not take a single moment for granted.

"I always have a moment for coffee," she said with a grin and a teasing tone as she took a seat near her mom. "And you too of course."

Pepper couldn’t keep the large smile off of her face as Morgan agreed to spend a few moments with her. She wouldn’t say that she knew everything about the young woman, but Pepper knew that she was everything that she could want in a daughter. Smart and charming like Tony, driven and coffee addicted like herself, considerate and stubborn like any combination of the two of them should be. She made Pepper exceptionally proud.

She pushed her notebook over towards Morgan, so that she could see what she was working on. “You know your father and I intend to wed in November, so I’ve been working on a few things. You’re father is a few steps ahead of me, for the first time in his life,” Pepper teased, “as he already has his groomsmen assembled.”

“I was wondering if you would, perhaps, like to go looking at wedding dresses with me sometime soon?” Pepper questioned, looking carefully at her daughter.

Seeing her mom smile, caused a smile of her own spread across Morgan's face. It was good to see Pepper this way. She had been witness to her happiness numerous times growing up, but this was different. This was the kind of joy that she was certain that could only be brought on by being in love, and there wasn't a doubt in her mind that her parents were very much in love.

Morgan laughed at her mom's comment and quickly began to look over the notebook. "I don't know, Mom. Pretty sure you'll be winning the wedding planning race in no time."

She was beyond thrilled to be able to be a part of her parents' ceremony in any capacity- so she couldn't help the excitement that sparked in her eyes. "Hell yes! Er. Shit! Sorry! Sorry twice! I uh meant 'yes'. Absolutely- yes!"
