Who: Morgan Stark and Pepper Potts
What: Pepper is planning things, and has some stuff to run by Morgan
Where: Casa de la Stark
When: Saturday Morning
The sudden change in Pepper’s life-- leaving her life back home, and arriving to a place where Tony had built a new version of Stark Industries and was caring for three teenagers, one of which was their daughter from the future-- it had been a lot for Pepper at first. She tried, of course, to get her footing, but there was an adjustment period. But Pepper had always been good at adapting, at embracing the chaos and trying to tame it (perhaps that was another reason that she loved Tony as much as she did).
Ever since Tony had proposed to her again, Pepper had been floating on air. Yes, she had already been engaged to Tony when she had arrived, but here she sank her teeth into planning something. Here they had friends who couldn’t be with them when they were married before. Goodlands, their tiny apartment with their three teenagers and their cat and their dog, it was the perfect life. Pepper was starting to get in the groove of things.
In front of Pepper was a notebook, where she was making list of all the things they would need to do for the wedding, the cake to order and the people they wanted up with them. Pepper had not yet asked the women she’d wanted to be in her party, even though She knew Tony had asked people from before. She also needed to ask Rhodey if he would mind giving her away, in lieu of her own family. She was taking a long sip of her coffee, and staring down at the tasks before her when she spotted Morgan.
“Hello, sweetheart.” Pepper said affectionately. She knew it must be hard for the teenager, to be dealing with parents who ultimately knew little about her, about her childhood and the things that parents should know about their child. But Pepper was trying. She noted down all the things the three kids said, trying to remember little things like favored colors or snacks.
“Do you think you have a moment? I just put on a fresh pot of coffee.”
