"Thanks," Carol said, telling the bartender that she was good with whatever was on tap. After spending so much time traveling the galaxy, she was not picky about her booze. She'd encountered more than one planet where the alcohol wasn't all that different from jet fuel.
She climbed up on the stool next to him and gave him a small smile. "It's good to see you," she said. Much better than their first meeting, when she'd found him after being trapped in space for nearly a month. "Seems like you're settling in pretty well here." Which worked in her favor since she didn't have to try and figure out a job now.
