WHO: Sam Winchester and Daphne Blake and SCOOBY DOO!
WHERE: Exploring spooky places.
WHEN: Wednesday after work.
WARNINGS: Probably none but will update.
SPOILERS? Probably none.

It hadn’t been what you’d call a busy day. The library was rarely busy in all honesty but Sam usually found ways to occupy his time, and when he couldn’t find little jobs to do he read or did research on alternate realities. Today instead of his regular research he’d been looking into abandoned buildings in the local area. After going exploring with Daphne a few days ago he’d started to realise that while it was nice to get a bit of down time he was actually kind of bored without having to hunt all the time. Although there was little to no chance that they’d actually find anything that posed an actual threat or was anything to do with an actual mystery it had been sort of fun checking out the empty warehouse they’d stumbled across. Before he even knew he was doing it he was looking for somewhere else for them to explore.

He’d gone out on a coffee break when he found it, an old abandoned theatre a few blocks over from the library. He’d sent a message to Daphne almost immediately and asked her to meet him after work, following up with the street address.

After work he grabbed a sandwich from a deli on the corner and he headed to the theatre to wait for Daphne, sending a quick text to Dean to let him know where he was.

Daphne had woke up to the best surprise, Scooby at her door was just the boost she needed then to be sure that this place wasn't too bad. He'd been just as excited to see her, although Daphne felt a tad bad that Shaggy wasn't there with them she'd make sure Scooby was fed well while he was there. She'd already settled Scooby in her room, making a list of things she'd need to get so that Scooby felt right at home with her.

"Hey, Scoob, you wanna go solve a mystery?" It didn't look like Scooby was that excited about it, "C'mon Scooby, I'll buy a box of Scooby Snaks on the way and we'll have fun. You can meet Sam!" The promise of Scooby Snaks on the way and Daphne protecting Scooby just like Shaggy would, the great dane was far more excited about getting out and exploring Goodland. For the sake of everyone else, Daphne had popped a leash on Scooby, until they approached the Theatre that Sam messaged her about.

As Sam came into sight, Scooby's tail started wagging, "You getting exciting, Scoobs?" The leash was practically a formality given that Scooby pulled away from Daphne with ease and bolted down the street towards Sam, she distinctly heard a gruff 'RAM!' from Scooby as she ran to catch up, just as Scooby barrelled into Sam to lick at him. "Aw, Scooby," she stopped shy of falling into Sam and Scooby, "It looks like someone remembers when you and your brother helped us out, right Scooby?" Which made sense if maybe Scooby was from later in things than Daphne.

Sam hadn’t been waiting long when he spotted Daphne heading up the street towards him, or rather being dragged up the street by a very familiar four legged friend and he smiled broadly. He didn’t have much time to prepare before he found himself knocked on his ass with the full weight of a Great Dane on his chest. “Hey Scoob, I’m glad to see you again too.” He said with a slight laugh.

He ruffled Scooby’s head a bit before he got to his feet, dusting off his jeans. “Yeah, I guess he does.” Sam said, still grinning. He gestured up at the building towering in front of them, all boarded windows and crumbling facade. “So, what do you think? Spooky enough?”

Scooby was just gazing up at Sam, tail still wagging, leaning into the head ruffle, as Daphne inspected the theatre; fairly run down, boarded up windows, some tattered curtains peeking through, "Oh, this is perfect," it was a pity it wasn't overly dark yet, but it would likely get there really quickly. "I brought flashlights." Because it sort of felt like they wouldn't just have them just lying around.

"I also brought snacks, but those are mostly for Scooby, unless you like them too, like Shaggy." Daphne never understood Shaggy's obsession with Scooby Snaks, but then there was a lot about Shaggy that Daphne didn't fully understand. "You ready Scoob?" She'd liked wandering the rundown warehouse with Sam, it was almost like being with the gang still. And Sam definitely knew Freddy and Velma considering the comments made.

"You think the door will be open?" The building didn't look like it should be condemned just yet, but it was probably on the brink of it. But that didn't always mean that doors would be locked.

Sam had been a little surprised at how much fun it had been exploring with Daphne the other day. It wasn’t as if they were hunting with purpose or that there was an actual mystery to solve, they were just looking around, just talking. But it had been more fun than he’d had here in weeks, and it seemed to be helping her to settle in. He smiled as she told him about the flashlights. “Good thinking.”

Sam shrugged. “Never tried them.” He didn’t really plan on fixing that anytime soon either. “More for Scooby, I guess.” He said, winking at the big dog.

He inhaled sharply. “Well we won’t know until we try. If not I could probably pick the lock with a bobby pin. If you have one I mean.”

See, sometimes she was the one who had the plans. Although flashlights were not as elaborate as Fred's traps.

"I think it's just something that Scooby and Shaggy share," because who really wanted to eat dog snacks? "But I really think more will be good for Scooby." Otherwise Daphne was going to need to find a really high paying job to feed Scooby.

Trying at the door, rattling the handle, Daphne gave a smirk back at Sam when the door opened up, creaking slightly as it fell open. "Spooky." Not really, but then it was an old abandoned building, so that was still something. "Looks like we don't need a lock pick." Although of course Daphne had bobby pins. If it came up later. Flicking her flashlight on Daphne took the first step inside, shining her light all around as she felt Scooby stand close to her side. "Wow, this place is huge."
