WHO: Hope Mikaelson & Open
WHERE: Outside the Villa
WHEN: Tuesday night
WARNINGS: Wolfing out maybe? Teen angst for sure and cursing

Hope wasn't have an easy time. Not having anticipated a full moon while they were in a new location, she'd chosen to forgo the transformation. She didn't know where would be safe to go, to start. Then there were the other werewolves around—she could smell them—and she didn't feel like running into them like this. Besides, the whole thing hurt, so if she could avoid it, why not? Except she felt the unresolved magic bubbling under her skin all night and then she'd had thoughts about her dad showing up—or any of her family, really. That had left her an emotional mess and... UGH. Unlike last time, the crying she'd done hadn't made her feel any better. It was days later and she was still buzzing with it.

There were too many people in the room, and even though she still wasn't sure what the punishment for breaking curfew was, she was pretty sure it couldn't be worse than whatever she was going to do if she stayed there for one more second. Besides, neither of the guardians seemed to have magic so she was pretty sure she could take them if it came down to it. Which it might.

Out on the street, the city still felt like Satan's sweaty taint, and she was so tempted to cast some kind of spell to alleviate the heat, but there were still people around who might see her. Not as close as in the room, and other city sounds covered up the noise of them breathing, so it was at least slightly more bearable than the room she'd come from, crowd-wise. Fists clenched into tight balls and arms crossed over her stomach, she leaned against the walls of their prison while she considered her next move. Staying here was asking to be caught, but maybe that's what she really wanted. There was sure to be a fight if she was. But leaving could let off its own kind of steam.

Freddy needed some fresh air since it had been a confusing few weeks in Goodland. He had been alone for most of his stay until recently when his sister, Mary, joined him. He was glad to have her and even more glad to live with her even if he missed his friends on the under eighteen floor. Still, she arrived just after those creatures attacked Freddy, which left him both physically and emotionally bruised. He knew the vision wasn't real and Mary even confirmed everyone at home was safe, but that vision had been so real. However, Freddy had more on his mind than the creatures. He learned he was a superhero in Mary's reality, which left a bittersweet taste in his mouth. He didn't have most of his family or powers in Goodland. He knew it was dumb to lament what he couldn't have, but he couldn't help feeling like it was unfair. He didn't admit it to anyone, but he wanted to fly because he hated his stupid cane. He wanted to feel unencumbered.

Needless to say, he couldn't sit still so he headed outside where he wouldn't need to tell Mary what was bothering him (he knew she'd be able to tell). He hobbled out and exhaled a deep breath.

Hope was ready for a fight when the door opened, her body tensing even more. When it was just Freddy, whom she was fairly certain wouldn't be chastising her for being out past curfew, she relaxed a little. A very very small amount.

He didn't look like he was having a good time, either. "That good of a day, huh?" She tossed him a small, tight smile, still sort of hunched over on herself. Freddy being here meant she definitely couldn't lash out the way she wanted to. It was weird how he did that.

"Huh?" Freddy's head snapped in Hope's direction. "Oh, hi! Sorry. I didn't mean to bug you! How are you?" He rambled on, afraid he was interrupting her quiet time. He, after all, had been searching for that very thing when he left his apartment. "It was okay," he added. "Just...anyway, hi. Again." He shot her a sheepish grin. "What's up?"

"No bugging," she said quickly. "I just... needed space to breathe that wasn't recycled air." That wasn't a complete lie. "Plenty of room for both of us." She was mortified that tears prickled in the back of her eyes over such a simple question, but it was all of the damned hormones. She hoped he didn't notice. "If that's what you needed, too..."

Freddy quickly shook his head. He'd never want to be rude; besides, he liked Hope. He cocked his head when he thought he noticed a hint of...well, of something indicating she wasn't perfectly happy just then. "Are you sure? Everything...okay?" He wasn't the best at talking to people. Rambling at them? Sure. Talking? Not so much. However, he did like making his little sister, Darla, smile when she was sad, so maybe rambling worked sometimes.

Giving up, she let her knees bend. Using the wall to slow her down, she slid until she was sitting on the sidewalk, her head in her hands. "Remember that secret I told you about? The full moon happened, and I didn't change. It makes me feel bad, and I miss home—but, like, not even my real home? I miss a home I only had for a little bit before it went away." And she didn't have a home back home anymore. But hey! She wasn't crying. Yet.
