She'd been surprised to see the darkness mapped out to only four days. It seemed to hardly be a blip, compared to how it felt.

Looking over the board for a little bit longer, she finally came to the same conclusion. It was good to keep trying, but right now... Walking closer, she reached out to gently run her fingers through his hair. "Which doesn't mean we won't ever." Given the apparent all-seeing nature of the entity, she wondered if the act of them observing was going to change the outcome of the next event. They couldn't observe without being observed in return, but maybe the entity had better things to do.
