Faith Lehane & Jake Green
What: Hanging out
Where: Where ever they end up
When: Last night
Warnings: Will update if necessary
Jake was still recovering from the events of the weekend. He didn't even know where to begin to process what he had seen out there. But the skies were clear now, the sun had been shining all day, and it was business as usual. To be fair, though, he wasn't even sure exactly what that meant. Live in Goodland was...somewhat unsettling. He'd learned in his short time in the fake New York town that he never really knew what to expect, and with that in mind he decided to throw caution to the wind and enjoy the life he had while he could.

Today that meant going out on what was basically a blind date. They hadn't defined it as a date exactly. But he didn't know her, and he'd agreed to go out with her. That equaled a blind date in Jake's book. Maybe it would be a disaster, maybe it would be two new friends hanging out. Maybe it would be a hook up. There was no way to tell just yet, and he was trying not to put a label on it before he even met her.

He showered quickly, and dressed in dark jeans and a navy blue shirt. He arrived in the lobby with moments to spare, and looked around to see if she was waiting for him or if he'd hang out and wait for her.

So far, this place wasn't too bad. She'd already hooked up once, she'd found a bar that had pretty good alcohol, and while the creepy ghost things had been a nuisance, she'd faced a lot worse over the years. At the moment, she was about to head out with another guy, and maybe have a little fun, so everything was five by five in her book.

As she reached the end of the cigarette she was smoking, Faith dropped the butt to the ground and crushed it with the toe of her boot, then ducked back into the apartment building to see if Jake was down yet. When she spotted a guy by himself, she broke into a light grin and crossed to him.

"Hey, I'm Faith," she said as she reached him, dark eyes giving him a quick once over.

"Jake," he responded with his name, treating her to the same once over look. She was gorgeous. Dark hair, dark eyes, dressed like she knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to go after it. She looked nothing like blue eyed blonde girl-next-door Emily, which was good. He needed to distance himself from things that reminded him of home, and Faith was, at first glance, nothing like the girls Jake knew back in Jericho.

Jake had a rough around the edges look about him. His eyes were soft, his jawline peppered with the first rumblings of a beard. He carried himself with an awkward stance, a slight limp from multiple injuries to his left leg. His body under his clothes was a roadmap of scars, telling the journey of a small town boy next door to vicious killer and back again. Maybe she'd see that, in time.

"This is a much better option than sleeping in," he told her as they assessed each other. Sleep had been his plan, but she was right. Sleep could wait. Going out was a much better way to work off stress and excess energy.

"Good to meetcha in person." Faith's grin turned sly at his words about it being a better option and rewarded him with a wink. "Yeah, there's almost always something you can do that's better than sleeping. Even in bed," she pointed out, before turning to head for the door.

She had a strong feeling he'd be right behind her.

Out on the street, she stretched her arms up over her head, letting jacket and tank ride up just a bit so he could get a little eyeful of bare skin, then dropped them again and tugged her clothes back into place. "Anything in particular you in the mood for?"

He appreciated the show of skin. It was a nice little teaser, and spoke of the potential for things to come. Not that he was doing this with the intent to hook up with her, but if that happened, well. He wasn't going to complain. He was a guy, after all, so sex was generally always on his mind.

But he wasn't an asshole. He didn't hang out with girls with the sole purpose of maybe having sex. It was a nice bonus when it happened, and while he was definitely hoping it happened tonight he wasn't gunning for it. That just wasn't his style.

"Drinks, maybe food. Dancing? I don't know if you're into that scene."

"All three sound good to me," Faith said with a grin, starting down the street with him. "Been a while since I could do that whenever I wanted, so whatever this place is - that makes it a little nicer, at least."

As they walked, Faith glanced over to study him. She liked the scruffy look, and the total package in general was easy to look at. "So Jake, where are you from? Got anyone pining away for you back home?"

"Nah," Jake shook his head. There was Emily, but he wouldn't say she was pining for him. They had a complicated history, and maybe they had been getting close again, but Jake wasn't foolish enough to think it was the real deal. Sooner or later, she'd remember how he caused her brother's death and she'd shut him out all over again.

"You?" he asked, looking her over. She was hot. Super hot, really. He imagined the guys, and maybe even some girls, were lined up for blocks for a chance with her.
