Kenny McCormick & Diego Hargreeves
What: A random encounter
Where: Central Park
When: Monday Evening
Warnings: Not likely, will update if necessary
Diego had settled into life in Goodland well enough. He still fantasized about strangling Five, but as long as it was just a fantasy he didn't see the harm in it. For the most part he just went about his daily life and tried to avoid Five, and Vanya for that matter, as much as he could. He had a lot of unresolved feelings toward both of them, and it was just easier to avoid them than even think about dealing with it.

He preferred to spend his time alone. He thrived on being alone, not having to deal with his siblings or anyone else. People were exhausting. His first instinct was usually to kill them. He didn't act on it, of course. But he thought it all the time. Sometimes he even played out a scene in his mind. He found it extremely satisfying to think about it.

He decided to go into the woods and use a tree for target practice. Not that he needed it. His super power was to be able to manipulate the trajectory of his knives. He liked to practice because he liked to throw the knives. He liked the thunk sound they made when they cut into his target. He'd thrown all of the knives, and headed to the tree to pull them out. Unfortunately, he didn't have the ability to call them back to him.

Kenny didn't mind Goodland too much. Of course, he would've loved to go back to South Park. His friends were there. While he didn't get along with his parents, his family was there. More importantly, his sister was there. Karen was the only person he really, truly cared for. He cared for others, but not as much as her, and not being able to see her sucked.

Not wanting to think about that too much, he had decided to go exploring a bit. He ended up in some part of the woods in Central Park. It was nice and quiet until he heard some 'thunking' noises, and he came upon some guy throwing knives into one of the trees.

"That was kind of cool." It was, although he'd seen cooler things. "Sucks you have to get up to get them every time, though."

"You offering?" Diego asked him as he tugged the blades free of the tree. Not that he'd let someone he didn't know touch his knives. He didn't let the people he did know touch them. They were his. And unless he threw them at someone, he kept them to himself.

He walked back over to where he'd been and let one of the blades loose, mentally sending it to land in a hole made from a previous throw. He wasn't showing off so much as just practicing his throwing and his control over the throwing.

"Nope," Kenny replied. "You seem like you're used to it." Yeah, he wasn't really up to fetch the knives for the guy every time he threw them. It seemed annoying, definitely, but Diego can deal with it more.

He watched as the guy threw the knives again. Kenny would admit, he was pretty damn good. Unnaturally good, come to think of it, and he wondered if he just had really good aim or something else. He heard a tweet up above and saw a bird flying around. "Can you hit that?" he pointed to the feathered animal.

"With precision," Diego said. He held a knife, sighted it to the bird. "I'll nick the feathers of its right wing," he said. He wasn't going to kill the bird for sport. Hitting its wing would probably startle it, but it wouldn't do any real damage.

Diego let the knife sail, and with a little mental manipulation, a couple feathers from the right wing fluttered to the ground. and the knife stuck through one of them where it landed.

Kenny rolled his eyes when Diego said he wouldn't actually kill the bird. Why did he even care? The bird was probably going to get killed sooner or later anyway. Just like everything else did. Whatever, if he didn't want to kill it, then that was fine.

"Alright," he shrugged. Actually, nicking the feathers might be even more difficult to do when he thought about it. He watched again, and surprisingly, the guy hit the intended target. "Huh, didn't think you'd get it. You have some sort of super ability or some shit? Or are you actually just really good at aiming?"

"I'm just that good," Diego boasted. Why give the credit to his ability when he could take it all for himself. He did have an ability, and it had been exploited. But throwing knives was his thing, and not even his father could ruin that for him.

"Name's Diego," he said with a shrug. He figured he might as well offer that much. Names were something of a social expectation, after all.

"Cool," Kenny shrugged. He still didn't quite believe the guy was that good. There was just something that wasn't quite natural about how good his aim was. He had to have some sort of ability, whether by magic or something else. But if he didn't want to say, then whatever.

"Kenny," he replied. "And it's nice to meet you and all that shit, but I'm hungry, so I'm gonna get going. Later."
