Sam pretty much ran on coffee. The machine in the library wasn’t terrible, but it’s coffee did little more than sating the craving slightly given the amount of caffeine Sam was used to. Still, it was better than trying to function without it. “Good.” He nodded.
“Sam.” He said, offering his coffee-free hand in greeting. “You new here too?” He asked. Sam had little trouble allying himself with people, and he figured if he was going to be stuck here then there was no sense in isolating himself. After all, there was no telling what this place might throw at its involuntary residents, or when he might need to rely on others for help. Everyone he’d spoken to already seemed friendly, Jake included.
