Despite himself, Matt blushed a bit. Not from the stupid flirting apple (he was being flirted with by an apple and he could feel Foggy's judgment from a dimension away) but from Kate Bishop's hand in his. There was something so entirely natural about it and he wasn't complaining, even if they were surrounded by apples with personalities.

"I hope she knows I'm pretty taken." Well. He was, right? Oh, close enough. Still, he tilted his head in the direction Kate had mentioned and listened. "Her friend is whistling at you, so I don't think you're the only one with competition."

God that was weird.

He stopped, though, and turned to face her. Gently, he placed a finger beneath her chin to make sure she didn’t do her usual trying to blow off anything serious. "Kate. I'm fine. I promise. I'm almost one hundred percent, and I know not to push myself if I don't have to."
