One robot went down with an arrow through it's face. Another followed. The third? He was hit, but he was fast, too. Robots were always fast even if they were large and lumbering. The arrow took one arm off, knocking the robot off kilter. It would have been fine if the eye lasers hadn't also gone askew.
Weren't lasers supposed to melt things like metal when it hit? They weren't supposed to ricochet and bounce. Lasers didn't bounce! Most of the time.

She wanted to shoot out the chain of a sign to deflect the laser. Kate would have been able to if two robots hadn't come down onto her shoulders. It threw Kate off balance, the arrow missing the chain, hitting the sign and was melted by the incoming laser coming toward Kate and Matt.
