It was always disheartening whenever anyone left. Even if Steve didn't know the people personally, there were others that did. It was a reminder of Thanos and The Snap. All things that Steve continually had to try and put to the back of his mind.
If he wasn't punching bags into oblivion - a tried and true stress reliever - Steve was usually taking daily runs. Sometimes he walked. When he needed to truly think, Steve walked.
He had heard the faint sound of barking as he rounded a corner and grinned when the pup approached. Cheered up even more when it's owner followed suit. "Well, if it isn't our resident God of Thunder. Lightning? Asgardian god is probably the safest best," Steve joked, giving Thor a friendly and firm clap on the shoulder.
