Matt rolled his eyes at her comment about the adorable. Like any orphan kid entering the real world for the first time in a long time, he'd had trouble finding his footing. Having Foggy eventually had helped but close friends weren't easy to come by when you were the blind kid. Even harder when you were the blind kid who had to hide the fact that you weren't exactly as blind as you were supposed to be. It was tough. A good part of it was trying to establish your own customs and traditions. Some he'd carried over from growing up with his dad. Some were born of years of a Catholic group home. And some were just who he was intrinsically.
"They make pour your own funnel cake. I'm sure even we could figure it out. Once we have stores again, anyway." Obviously he'd supervise. Kate deep frying would only end in disaster. "And the perks of hanging around me is, I can pretend not to notice when you're covered in powdered sugar."
But when she mentioned him trekking around the amusement park, he had to grin. So she had a point, so what? "But Mr. Captain America Sir said we're not allowed to go out there without a grownup." He gave her a pointed 'look' before shrugging. "One Matt Murdock doesn't typically listen to a lot of music over coffee or coffee cake so I figured I'd put it in your capable hands."
