Who: Angelus & Steve Rogers
What: Amusement park fun times
When: Tonight
Where: Creepy amusement park
Warnings: NPC death, typical vampire/fight warnings

In some ways, toying with the people Angel and his sliver of humanity clung to was almost too easy. The desperation of finding a way to keep Angelus out of the mix for good was truly pathetic. They'd played with magic and were fucked over in the most ironic way possible. Instead of throwing away the bag, they let the demon out of it with no fool-proof way to put him back inside of it. Of all the ways he could have been set free, this was... well, second best. The devastated look on Buffy's face after Angel had boinked her only to find out having sex with her literally turned her lover evil? Years, a trip to hell, and crossing dimensions later — still priceless.

The witch was turning out to be a different sort of fun. Angelus was looking forward to witnessing the guilt she'd carry over each and every dead body would be delicious. He hadn't gone after any of the core group directly yet, but some of the locals? Real or not, a dozen or more of them were dead and left for anyone to find. Angelus might keep himself and his whereabouts under the radar, but he didn't give a shit who cleaned up his dinner.

Speaking of dinner, people were less out now that the black and white carnival had rolled into town. He'd done some wandering around and lurked in the dark to see who was getting the shit scared out of them this time. It was fun at first but also boring after a while, so when he caught sight of one of the local, non-villa residents, he figured what the hell. It was time for a Bloody Mary somewhere.

He didn't even bother with the usual song and dance of lurking a victim into a dark alley. Thanks to the black and white of it all and the cover of darkness, he was more a snatch and grab kind of vampire. Sure, the daylight ring he had thanks to the witch was helpful, but Angelus still liked the darkness. It was fucking Angel that wanted to be in the light. Not to say he wouldn't use the light to his advantage; he sure as hell would.

The girl he grabbed was a pretty thing. Sort of reminded him of Buffy in a few ways but with much less fight which was disappointing. The fighty ones were so much more fun.

Angelus hadn't bothered to dip into an alley or some other secluded spot, but instead he trapped the girl up against one of the old ticket booths. She whimpered and tried for a moment to get away, but he sank his fangs into her neck and began to drink.

Suited up and shield in hand, Steve did as he promised. He'd been making rounds regularly, reporting back, and keeping everyone as informed as he could. Just like old times and just as he always did. The dutiful captain tending to his supposed flock at all times.

Just as Ultron said he'd do for the rest of his living years.

That quiet life would never be Steve's endgame and he was still attempting to stomach that. He believed he did a decent job at hiding it most of the time, but that was neither here nor there. Not at that moment. He had to keep his head clear and his focus alert.

He didn't need any of the residents coming across the handful of bodies Steve, himself, had found just an evening prior. They weren't familiar, didn't appear to be anyone from the building, which was a genuine relief. Real or not, they still deserved answers.

Steve just wasn't sure he wanted to find them.

The wounds had been messy and different from any he had ever seen. Until he had gotten a closer look to realize there were literal bite marks puncturing flesh. Steve was aware of vampires and the like thanks to his attempts at catching up with pop culture. He had just never come across one. None that he knew of at that moment.

Holding tightly to the sturdy, leather straps on the back of his shield, Steve had been following the sounds of trouble. Seeing the flash of blonde with a swift movement, he followed. Raising his shield to attack, the brave Captain America came to a horrified stop. The sight had caught him by surprise, throwing him, momentarily, off his guard.

"What the hell..."

Angelus hadn't gotten quite the fill he'd wanted when the Captain had shown up, but the girl was sufficiently drained well enough that it at least satiated his hunger for the time being. He didn't catch sight of him or that shiny shield at first, but there was the familiar sense of someone watching and the extra thump thump thump of a second heart beat nearby. It certainly wasn't his meal's heartbeat because this one sped up as soon as it approached, and hers was slowing with each drink he took.

"Didn't your mother teach you that it's rude to interrupt during dinnertime?" Angelus said with a dramatic sigh after pulling his fangs from the girl's neck. She was barely conscious but still alive. Turning to face the good soldier, he kept the her in his grasp and took in the man in front of him now. The shield was a dead giveaway, and Angelus recognized him fairly quickly even if there hadn't been any interaction with him to speak of between him and Angel. His souled counterpart did at least manage to take notice of others in the building, their public conversations, and skills, and it was at least a little helpful for Angelus now.

"I'd ask if you'd want a go with her, but you know, I'm not really the sharing type." There wasn't much warning after he spoke the words before Angelus twisted the girl's neck sharply to the side with a sick crack. He tossed her body to the side without much regard for how she landed and licked off a few drops of stray blood that covered his fingers.

"Nice shield," he said with words dripping in sarcasm. "Very inconspicuous."
