It was hard to hide his laugh this time. Coming to a stop, Steve nearly doubled over with a good, healthy laugh. Of course, it would have been a Stark behind that madness.
His hands on his knees, Steve let out a final chuckle before he straightened. "Oh, Buck. I should have warned you. You know how those Starks can be." In another time and probably a different lifetime, that could have meant many things. Now, though, it could all be focused on the good that they all had. Even if it would always take some work.
"I wouldn't either. I hope you hid them even though I'm sure she'll find them. If she doesn't, one of the kids will." Kids, teens, young adults; children that belonged to any of them from this world or another. Giving Bucky's shoulder a pat, Steve took up a brisk walk instead of a full jog. A few snickers still escaped from under his breath.
"Did we at least keep one for the apartment?" It felt good to laugh and joke with Bucky like they used to do. They had a lot of lost time to make up for after all.
