Who: Billy Maximoff and OTA who wants to find a little kid and help him find his mom
What: SURPRISE, he exists
When: Sunday afternoon
Where: Out front because I haven't played with the ostriches in a while
Warning: He is a walking WandaVision spoiler. His existence is a WandaVision spoiler.

When Mom and Dad tucked them in, Billy laid back down and tried to get comfortable. That was easier said than done. He wasn't powerful like his mom was. Wanda could do just about anything. She was so cool. But he could feel something was wrong. It was kind of like when Dad had been in danger and he'd felt it more than he'd seen it.

He didn't like that at all.

So he tossed and turned and then he felt it. That weird pulling sensation. It didn't hurt this time. Almost like the first time was forced and this time was meant to be. He glanced over at Tommy's bed, ready to reassure his brother that they'd be okay.

But Tommy wasn't there. A rather large bird was. And it did not like the fact that Billy screamed.

It wasn't his fault! It looked like an ostrich. And those things were huge! Not scary like an emu, maybe, but they were definitely part dinosaur, Billy knew it.

What was an ostrich doing in his room? He missed Sparky, but he didn't think ostriches were good replacements. "Sorry!" He called to the bird as it trotted over to its friends, its feathers all ruffled up in annoyance. "I guess you're not talking ostriches who can tell me where I am?" No that would be silly. But helpful. Because Billy was most definitely lost.

Mom was gonna be so mad.

It was hard to miss that scream. Especially when you were coming back from a few errands as Kate Bishop was doing.

At the distressed sound, Kate had reached for her trusty bow and arrows, which...she did not have. She didn't expect to need them, but that was clearly incorrect. The weapon should have been attached to her after the whole monster ordeal. She was getting too comfortable with the weird place.

Or lazy. Maybe a bit of both.

It was a relief, though, when she found a young boy and one of the resident ostriches stalking away in a huff. It all made sense and Kate snorted a bit.

"Nope. They don't talk. At least I've never heard them talk but I wouldn't put it past this place to do that at some point." She offered a friendly smile and a wave. "You okay, though?"

He wasn't really comfortable with strangers. But she felt okay. And well, Billy really did need some help. "I'm okay, I guess." He shuffled his feet a little, glancing up at the pretty brunette lady.

"It's just... I think something bad might have happened." A lot bad had happened, actually. But he was pretty sure he wasn't supposed to talk about that to anyone who hadn't been there. "This isn't my house."

"Something bad?" Kate's brow furrowed as she frowned slightly. "Anything I could help with? I know the strange house and building thing can be weird." She'd had a similar feeling when she had arrived. Waking up in a room, or whole city, that wasn't your own, was certainly unnerving.

Looking around, it didn't appear there were any adult types lingering. Maybe he was another Avenger kid? They seemed to be arriving in droves lately. Kate didn't want to assume, though. She also didn't want to get the kid's hopes up if that was the case.

"I'm Kate, by the way, and I'll be happy to help you out if I can." She paused, her expression turning soft once more. "That's what heroes do after all."

Kate seemed nice. And helpful. And she wasn't quiet like Agnes had been. Usually he didn't like when people were loud and all over the place but after what Agnes had turned out to be, the louder the better.

His eyes lit up when she said she was a hero. "My mom and dad are heroes! Mom just saved a whole bunch of people from a really bad witch lady!" Okay, so they were in a big city and there were lots of people with lots of noise. He could figure this out. And he had a hero now! "I'm Billy. And I went to bed at home and I woke up on a sidewalk and that ostrich was staring at me!"

"Oh yeah? You know that pretty much makes you a hero by proxy." So it seemed he could be an Avenger kid. Then again, there were some other heroes living in the building he could belong to. She'd have to send some messages out sooner rather than later.

"I have a really good friend named Billy back home. We fought a lot of bad guys together." He wasn't that young, but Kate offered her hand. Sometimes having something or someone to hold on to was helpful in a stressful situation.

Especially when those ostriches were involved.

"I didn't wake up on the sidewalk, but the ostriches are kind of crazy. Don't worry, though. They're all snooty if you ask me." To which Kate received a squawk in return. "See what I mean?"

"Oh, I don't know. I mean, I helped a little. I have some powers, too." He wasn't sure he was supposed to talk about it, but he had just kind of spilled the family secret so what could it hurt? And hadn't a whole bunch of people seen Mom fight Miss Agnes? "But Mom and Dad are way better fighters."

Billy didn't hesitate. He took the offered hand and beamed up at his rescuer. "I think Billy is a pretty common name," he admitted. "Dad named me after this really famous writer."

Looking over at the ostrich, he made a scrunched up face of annoyance. "I don't think they mean to be snooty. I can't really feel animals like I can people, but I think maybe I just scared him." Billy liked animals. They worked on instinct. People were more likely to be tricky. "Did I get here by magic? I don't think I did it, I can usually feel when I'm doing it. Tommy should have been right there," he pointed with his free hand, "but he isn't here unless he already ran off. He can do that, he's super fast."

Sorry, Kate. Now that he was comfortable, he was going to talk a mile a minute.

It was probably for the best that Billy had taken her hand as Kate would have taken a tumble otherwise. The mention of powers and then Tommy being super fast.

It wasn't possible, was it?

Of course, it was. Anything was possible anymore.

While she didn't full-on face plant on the ground, Kate did come to a sudden halt and look down at Billy. "Billy," she began, clearing her throat before dropping to one knee. Kate needed to be at his level. She needed to closer to the ground just in case.

"Is...your Mom named Wanda?"
