James Rogers & Torunn Thorsdottir March 14th | James Arrives in Goodland Torunn is there to welcome him back
RATING: TBD | Warnings: TBD
The broken shield felt heavy strapped to James' back in a way that had nothing to do with how much it actually weighed. They'd beat Ultron, with some help from the Hulk, but there was still a lot of work to be done. He was exhausted — they all were — but there was no time to rest right now. There was no time for celebrating the victory just one when there was so much left to be done and James could feel the weight of who his parents were, who he was supposed to be, more than ever.
He shrugged off this fatigue and turned his focus to the work ahead. He tried, to, anyway, but he must have closed his eyes for a second, because the next thing he knew, he found himself opening them again to find himself standing in a very different version of Grand Central Station than the one he'd seen. It was as if someone had dialed back the clock to a time before the Scavengers, before Ultron. People bustled around him, going about seemingly normal lives and his friends, his family was no where to be found. Ready to fight if he needed to, James scoped out his surroundings, but there wasn't a clue to be found as to what had just happened until he spotted the note floating toward him.
Welcome to Goodland? James read the note three times, but none of it started to make any more sense. There were directions to a place called Ostriches Villa and the number of an apartment it claimed was his. That part, he got, but there were still a lot of unanswered questions and with them the need to get back home, to get back to his mission. That was one thing that was missing from the note and it was a more pressing question than how he'd gotten here in the first place. How the hell was he supposed to get back.
